Yep. Amartey's a better ruck than McLean, gets played there more in reserves. The issue is fitness, but if he can attend a few CBs a quarter, Ladhams should be able to get through. At least he's only up against 1 good ruck.

You nearly gave me a heart attack! At first look I thought you meant Tom McCartin had been omitted
TMac is sometimes pretty useless though. Not sure this necessarily helps. At least it keeps Brown out of the forward line a bit to be backup ruck.
I think we'll do what we did last weekend. Roberts will play the full game in the VFL, Sheldrick won't play at all (to be sub), HHK (like Warner) will play a half and be kept over in case of a late callup to be sub (if Sheldrick needs to replace someone). We might even only play McLean for a half in case Ladhams or Amartey are a late withdrawal.

Melbourne's one weakness is their forward line. No Gawn & McDonald makes that even worse for them. Our midfield really needs to break even or beat theirs to really dry up their avenues to goal.
