The word champion gets thrown around a lot, but it's a fitting description of Robbie Gray. Like all greats of the game, he could do things on a football field that mere mortals can only dream about. Hopefully we can send him off with a win over the Scum.

Just thinking about random little Robbie highlights over the years.

My eldest is 7. She has only ever known Robbie post knee op and is hands down her favourite player. Robbie made the football/Port Adelaide indoctrination incredibly easy, because if you tell a 3 year old to look for number 9, and he produces like he did, then they are hooked for life. I dont want to pick her up from school today because I have to tell her that Robbie wont be playing anymore and it will be her first lesson in heartbreak.

The 5 Showdown medals says it all really. Proper quality games that are probably not televised nationally and he dominated 90% of them. Imagine someone doing that in the Geelong v Hawks matchup or ANZAC day.

2018 - 20d 6g to win us the first Showdown by 5 points, followed it up next Showdown with 20d 4g, 7 centre clearances in a 3 point loss.

If we can't win for Robbie Gray (who has made a lot of his teammates look better than they are) then piss the lot of them off.

An absolute champion of the game pretty much created that half foward mid style player that every club tries to emulate having but can never quite replicate ( I'm looking at you jack billings ).
Will never forget that goal against us from the direct tap from paddy to beat us was my first time visiting adelaide oval.
