I look at Mackay and see a big Break Glass In Case Of Emergency sign

and I think, they ******* will as soon as possible

Desperate for the 4 points we are. As always. Why would the people that employed Pyle employ someone with totally different philosophies? We'd still have Pyke et al if not for Roo's 'support another club' comment. And it's thise numpties that selected Nicks and Pyke would have gotten an extension as a show of strength if not for the review. The only difference between Nicks and Pyke is this personal relationship bullshit.

It's shocking and unfair the worst team was given the hardest draw. I thank them for it as it will ensure an even better draft pick although we likely didn't need any help in what draft pick we will receive. The person most pissed off with receiving the hardest draw should be Nick's as it may be the final nail in his senior coaching position come year's end.
It's disgusting by the afl to do that but an easier draw wouldn't have helped us that much anyway. At least they can't accuse us of tanking.

Pyke and co were the fall guys for Roo's incompetence. I was never a Pyke fan and believed he needed to go but as usual our club didn't fix the real problem and therefore lengthened the pain the club will experience until they finally remove our list management maestro in Mark Riccuito that has orchestrated our likely back to back wooden spoons.

Pfffft. I’m less concerned about Mackay being named Round 1 than I am with the fact that nearly 30% of you folks think that a team should be listed forward line first... what are we, heathens? No wonder the club is in the state it is.
Go back to Fed Square, you Victorian heathen.

Pyke wasn't good though.
He fell ass-first into what Walsh began to build and benefitted greatly from it.
Then, once reality hit, he was exposed and doubled down on old guys.

Burton and Hass should have gone end of 2018.

Roo and Hart should have been frogmarched out alongside Pyke and Campo at the end of 2019.

Chapman should have fallen on his sword after Tippettgate.

Frampton over Himmelberg?
Murphy over Rowe?
Seedsman over McHenry?
Kelly over McPherson?
Doedee over Butts at full back on Hawkins?

That's a 1 tackle forward line if ever I've seen one. Nothing helps a midfield defend between the arcs better than the ballcarrier running at them under no pressure whatsoever with overlap support without opposition as well.

Kelly reckons hes playing against the Cats in the presser he did.

Apart from an aversion to moving the ball quickly, Kelly is a half decent role player. I thought he showed a willingness to play on during the trial game that I hadn't seen before.

If that carries through to real games, we are going to have a lot of players vying for the medium defender spots.

Surely we have to be looking at some mid/ fwd types at the mid season draft?

Got just the bloke...
Brodie Lake
Southern Districts, NTFL / Central Districts, SANFL
Height: 185cm
Weight: 79kg
16/05/02

Medium midfielder who has taken every opportunity over the last 12 months winning Northern Territory’s MVP as an overaged player in the AFL Under-16 National Championships in 2019 before playing for Team Dal Santo in the Futures game on AFL Grand final day on the MCG. This year, he moved to Central Districts in the SANFL and after averaging 20.8 disposals in five under-18 matches progressing to play some excellent reserves SANFL football as well. Returned to Darwin for the NAB All-Stars game where he was one of the best afield gathering 22 possessions before going back to Adelaide where he was the athletic star at the NAB AFL Combine recording fastest times in the speed (2.91 seconds – 20 metres) and agility (7.90 seconds-AFL agility run). Eligible for pre-selection by the Gold Coast SUNS as part of their Academy program in NT.

Was Zavier Maher also one of your favourites? We've got 2 list spots . . .

Sure is but he's more the midfield bull with great burst speed rather than a mid/forward like Brodie Lake...I think in a normal non Covid environment both lads would have played Nationals and likely been drafted off the back of that.
