That’s as bad as the first game we ever played. They are literally useless, 1 goal for a match what a waste of time and money. Shut it down.

Not worth of a sacking, but you really do need to question playing the slowest footballer in the comp and play D'arcy forward and Lavey back.

Must be the 8th time this year between AFL VFL and AFLW I have seen us lead in the last 2 minutes and somehow not win. Lucky to be one total back our way. It is hideous, it is like every time we could possibly lose, we lose.

Umpiring in that was atrocious, some going both ways but way too involved and that last one was just a shocking piece of umpiring, total fiasco.

Wont get mentioned. Clear AFL rules that nothing in the womens game can be criticized.

Unfortunately that game was as great a justification of why people arent tuning in or paying to attend as you can get. That game was honestly Auskick level.

So basically gave her a 10-meter penalty for no reason as the same player took the kick.

Dodgy free kick, wrong girl taking the kick and not one mention of any of it by the commentary team.

I’d be sending in a please explain to the umpires.


On a positive note, we have found a couple in Sheerin and Egan and Conti continues to be a star. Our weakness was forward and we have the best forward in the comp coming back in a couple of weeks. McKenzie looks like she is in for a good year.

Still a few top many passengers though. Molan not up to it at the moment. Hosking continues to undo a lot of her good work with poor disposal options.

We had the ball cleared away and the ump pulls one from outta nowhere to set up the cats shot on goal,same as the first goalthey got.

We should have sealed it in the 2nd qtr, so never really should have been in that position but that was one of the worst decisions I have seen.
To top it off, the downfield free was the adjudicated incorrectly.

However, I disagree that the game was a poor advertisement of women's footy, yes scoring was low but the general intent of both teams was ferocious all day.
I enjoyed it.

Cats dominated the 3rd Qtr but couldn't score...we took a lot of intercept marks too but only score 1.5 deep into a game asking to give it up like we did. Pretty rubbish delivery into our fwd line.
