Just in regards to Grundy's neck, I'm a little bit of an expert here, I've had spinal surgery on my neck recently. C5/C6 Anterior cervical discectomy/decompression and fusion.
On the radio they said he was having pain down his arms, tells me he's punched a nerve around the same spot. (c5/c6 pick up sticks) If it's damaged enough, it will need surgery or at least a nerve root block injection, takes the nerve pain away and tells the surgeons it's the right spot. At the very least he will require some ongoing physio, if surgery is required he could be out for a while. Mine was wear and tear, not an impact injury.
If it's pinched hard enough and he gets a whip like action of his head again, he could end up paralysed in one arm or both. I'm sure Brodie and the club will take the right approach, it's not a lot of fun and the surgery benefited me but 18 months later and I'm still not right, probably will never be the same but it happens.
I really hope it's nothing and I'm being overly dramatic, but I know the feeling.
It causes all sorts of spasms and referred pain, numbness and tingling in your hands and you basically end up dropping everything you try and pick up.
