Controversial Opinion: Scrimshaw was in our best 6 today (admittedly a low bar today.). Evidence (other than my opinion) second most disposals, second highest SuperCoach score.

Dud he make mistakes today, sure did. The echo chamber during the Game Day thread was astounding, every mistake was highlighted by half a dozen posts, every good bit of play (and there were a few) were met by crickets.

I tip plenty of posts in here bagging him.

Low hanging fruit. Pack mentality. Easy options.

The ball lived in our backline. Not sure who our best six were.

Jeez there was some tripe today.
I'm not expecting a heap of changes though given we're coming off the bye.
Dimma I thought handled himself well, as did Blanck and Smitch.

Felt like our midfield let us down and that caused our forward structure to disintegrate.

Rough day to be a defender considering we had a teamwide policy of only kicking to GCS players once the ball left our D50 ...

Easy to rack up disposals in the backline today. His lack of effort in a contest or wanting to close an opponent down was West Coast like

I don’t think GC were worried about Scrimshaws disposal count.
By the end, I’m sure they wished it was higher.

Damned lies and statistics.

What stat reflects his absolute inability to halve a contest?

I’m one who’s rooting for Scrimmer but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he got dropped next week. Just looked off defensively (again).

1 step forward 2 steps backward, not a shock result but that was a hard watch. We lack leaders at the moment but we need to be patient.

Bad all over the ground, only Day and Hardwick held there own. When we go missing we go missing but we didnt miss the suns players 😩

Ward time

Was far from our worst.

I mean we had players today like Meek with two possessions and Kossy with six possessions who were total non factors in the game not copping any heat yet a player who gets 31 possies and 11 marks ends up copping it from all directions.

Yes we all know Scrimmers has his limitations but geez at least he got involved today whilst many others seemed to clock off for early smoko at quarter time.

There was no run and carry, no delay of the handball to draw the opponent.
Lack of two way running.
Lazy footy just dump kicking from where ever we took possession (surely a record for marks from oppo kicks)

Scrimshaw needed to step up in sicily's absence, and did nothing

blanck was decent, but his 5 mins of agro lifted the suns, a bit like sicily used to do. He will learn

Probably newcombes worst game since being drafted, but he's been amazing every other week

Breust again needed to be directing traffic, but just doesn't show leadership forward of centre. We desperately need an onfield coach up forward (think Dixon 2006/07)

Just an all-round poor effort. Moore with all the votes, move on and regroup

I’m genuinely surprised he got 31 touches. Won’t get dropped after that, despite what I thought was a fairly ordinary game.

You’re right though, plenty of others who were really poor.

Meh. Move on.
Will have to take our AFL delivered medicine this next few weeks. The young team look completely rudderless with out Sicily.

Hopefully the bye for the Blues might help us. However, if there was ever a game Sicily would shine in it, next week is it.

FU AFL.
