Apart from looking stunned that Carlton actually tried in the third term, that wasn't too bad. Dominated the first but didnt kick straight, streeted them in a 10 minute burst in the second, defended grimly in the third then put our foot down in the last.

Connectivity between the midfield and the forwards is our main issue. And the forward line needing to work cohesively, but we won tackles, I50 and centre clearances convincingly.

More importantly, any win on the MCG is important.

Westhoff...what a season. Rockliff, Wingard, Wines, Trengove all good. Below average games from SPP, Ebert, Boak and most of our defence, but all had good moments when required.

DBJ in for Pittard, and Watts for Marshall next week. Holefully Jonas for Hombsch too. One day, we'll put a low quality team to the sword - please let our victims be the Saints :straining:

I’ll take some responsibility for our poor performance.

I’m usually beering before the first bounce of our games but today I went in dry and stayed dry. The boys just seem to play better when I’m drinking.

I know I can improve and I will next week.

Turned into a stressful game.

Does Dixon fear getting hit on the back of the head? He dips his eyes or runs under the ball.

Our midfield is sloooowwwww.
Yeah. I'm guessing he has a cold. He mistimed and run under everything today.

We appreciate the sacrifice your liver made today but would prefer resumption or normal business through the end of the season thank you

I haven't seen anyone mention what a bruising affair the game was last week. Cant be underestimated imo.

We're 10 and 4 and just won a game where we stank for all but two 5 minutes patches. I'm no cockeyed optimist, but there's plenty to like about that and this season.

Also, Rockliff, Thomas, Motlop for nothing last trade period. Each has slotted in beautifully. Now Trengove playing a role well when required, and Watts has had good games and still has a role to play. The list management team absolutely shot the lights out.

Few thoughts on players.

Westhoff was amazing, career best year by a mile but I’m gonna give some credits to the team improving around him. He’s always worked hard, this year he just has the luxury of getting on the end of other’s good work.

Rockliff has changed this team. Now when our midfielders forget how to football he is there to win the ball and get us moving in the right direction. Our most important and consistent player right now!

Trengove uses the ball very well, as the second disposal out of a stoppage our players will be getting so many more clearances. Went missing at times, but plenty to work with!

If Charlie Dixon got paid the frees other players get he would be unstoppable. Even still he is freaking fabulous!

Chad with a big game outside of Adelaide against a weak team? He is going to have a huge second half of the year.

If West Coast loose today Port go to second, if I have done my sums right ... :D

Because Gill has just invoked the Port rule that if WC lose Sydney’s percentage will drop by the same margin.

You no math good :p

We'll be equal second, though. With West Coast, Sydney, probably Collingwood and us all on 40 points.

Just not actually second

Trust me it’s the last time I try responsible sober parenting.
