Did what we had to do. Bulldogs are one of our bogey teams so thought it was still a good result.

Nicky - classy as usual. On another level.

Thought IQ was super after a slow start.

Adams - some of his kicks into our forward line are awful. How a so called football expert like David King would suggest Mitchell might be dropped before Adams is laughable. Mitchell is a superior player.

Frampton - Shocking first half. Felt really bad for him.

Cameron seems a bit laconic at times.

Bianco needed to back himself more with his kicking. Hopefully he gets another game next week. Three more games to trigger a new contract.

Really pleased for Ash that he had a decent game. Could have kicked a handful if he clunked a few more

We are still no closer to solving our tall forward mix.

Cox was off the boil tonight but he kept presenting, impacting and making opportunities. That's what makes him a genuine top grade player.

Missed three goals… nail two of them and it would have been a good night for him. He presented better than frampton who looked all at sea, especially in the first half.

How we looked vulnerable in the last and he thought Bulldogs were gonna get over the line. The other 2 did laugh at him and disagree.

Vulnerable when the game was over. Didn't he see the 12 goals we kicked out of the following 14 in the game?
He probably doesn't even know we've had 2 x 6 day breaks in a row.....

Thank Christ for Daicos

Defence was super shaky today. Which was a concern.

Bianco can’t be allowed near the seniors ever again. He single handedly gave the Bulldogs back their momentum in the last quarter and they never looked back.

Imagine toiling away in the VFL all season, just busting a gut to get your opportunity. Then when you finally get it, your only contribution is turnovers and almost costing us the game.

Insane stuff

Thought IQ destroyed Weightman after the first quarter.....
Weightman kicked 4 goals which makes him a good player on the night. Doesn't mean that Quaynor wasn't an effective player, although if your opponent kicks 4 goals, you have to balance the ledger which Quaynor certainly accomplished. Murphy was another who was outreached or outsmarted at times by a classy taller opponent, but I thought he was a real stalwart in our defence. He is fast becoming one of my favourite players.

I agree. It's the one area where I disagree with Fly. I don't think he brings any point of difference to our team and his lack of pace has an effect on the whole team as he rushes his disposals or gets caught and in turn puts pressure on his teammates. He isn't strong overhead and isn't an elite kick. At his size he has to have a weapon or two.

With the way our defence plays I think you need to take it as a unit. There's a lot of movement and aggressive positioning. There's risk there but it has worked so far. In the end we got the job done tonight as well.

Moore was quite poor tonight. Murphy, Markov and Quaynor were great. Howe and Noble just average

Why can’t we just have two Nick Daicos? One back flanker, one midfielder? It’s not too much to ask.

A second Moore up forward wouldn’t hurt either.

Cruel world.
I think most oppo supporters are dirty that we have a Nick and a Josh. A second Nick would send them over the edge 🤣

JUH, this boy can play, luckily for us he didn’t kick straight. Speaking of which Cox missed 3 tonight, that’s unheard of.
So Billy F is definitely a back/ reserve ruck not a forward. I’m my mind that’s sorted, in case of injury yes put him forward but he’ll be our back up tall defender.

Oleg stays in, he’s run out of the back is vital to us.

AJ stays forward, my forwards as in talls are Cox, Checkers and AJ. Jamie plays tall, Bobby and Beau are locks with those mids/HF being Tay and Lippa. Next cabs off the rank, Reef (he’s finally hit some form) then McStay. I love Freddy but he’s too fragile and Ginni well he’s not getting in ahead of the current smalls and HH.

Good win, still a lot of improvement especially up forward but with we are still winning so that’s a great thing. I love that we have selection headaches of who misses out.

Adams must be in doubt to hold his spot. Great heart and soul player but his skills especially disposals are just not good enough.
He doesn't hurt the opposition with ball in hand. Especially if he plays forward. Mitchell and Adams cant be in the same side. Mitchell wins for me. I would much prefer McInnes to play the forward role.

There's a couple that come out before Tay surely Bianco and Hoskin for starters.

Glad Bianco got a run, a bit surprised it was on a wing instead of half back. Perhaps that’s why he got the game over Ruscoe? Unfortunately Bianco didn’t have the same confidence to back himself in tonight. At one stage as we were coming out of defence the kick was put to Bianco at half back in a way he could run into it and keep running. Instead he stopped and propped after marking, which was almost the harder option given the kick he received. Depending on who returns from injury I wouldn’t mind seeing him play next week to see how much he learns from tonight.
