Ratten: Had enough, players are out have already been told, others are in but are lucky.

Outs Jones (Ryder inj, Naz first year player)

Can see the hard talk now, 'Paddy, you are out for the rest of the season'

'Injured for the rest coach'

'Right so youa re out'

'NAZ, GET OVER HERE - YOU ARE OUT'

'Jonesy, have a break mate'

There that will make the ch9 news. Really wielding the axe is old newly minted Ratts
It’s a day to go.

Somewhat perplexed that Ratten actually dropped Jones AND bought in Lienert. Should have happened weeks ago on both counts but better late then never!

One slow poke bites the dust!

Unpopular opinion: Clark doesn't make the 22 for lack of pace.
I would think Clark plays

Good little clip of Clark on insta

Why not? Seemed to play well last weekend.
He should be rewarded for good performance
Was okish at best. Where does he play? It’s about balance. I suppose he can play but it’s a pretty tall backline. Highmore has to miss if he plays and probably Paton. Unfortunately they are all 20 to 30 players so hardly make a difference. If he plays it won’t upset me. I just wish we were talking about a difference player.

Nick on AFL 360 putting it on small forwards Butler - Higgins and also mentioned Marshall & Billings

Also said Max could work much harder
Wow, just went and had a look. The De Goey conversation was telling wasn't it? Rooey would have more inside info than anyone else and when he's laying out straight facts regarding our leadership and not having anyone to pull JDG up like the Geelong leadership team would... it's the confirmation we've got a lot of issues perhaps off field too.

No read my post
I said i want everyone held to the same standards

Did you think Hills game was good last week
No of course it was terrible but what do you mean then by everyone be held to the same standards?

Yeah its poor if true
Wasn't it the reason we got Hannas 4/5 years ago lack of leadership
Ratts early in the week saying how Hannas has been the loudest on the track LOL so in 4 years nothing has improved in that area

Probably not baking one of our best players for the year for having a bad game.
OK LOL

No have a Standard where if ANYONE has a bad run like Jones has had they cop the same treatment

Whether your Max King or NWN you need to play your part and do the team thing and play to a standard or be dropped

But i think you knew that

It's hard to know what has been going on with Jones. He just seems to have struggled to get anywhere near his best since coming back. One of the huge issues with him is he gives away so many free kicks. On top of that he is really struggling to lay a tackle. I agree that he probably hasn't been managed that well since coming back in, but with Clark and Ross back this week I can see why he has been sent back to the 2s.

I hope he can find some form in the reserves, when he's in and firing we are a better side but this year for him has been a waste so far.

That's fine but Brad Hill and Max King have been much better than Jones and NWM for most if not all of the year so I'm still really struggling to see your point.

I don’t really understand how balance can come into the equation when the team hasn’t got a functioning game plan. Given what I’ve seen over the last month I’d rather see individual performances be rewarded over trying to stick to a mythical game plan that requires certain types.

Not much i can do if you can't understand that, its seems others have

Completely agree. I’m not sure of what some want. We know hill was terrible last week but it doesn’t seem they want him dropped but he should have standards. No shit.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Tim Kelly and whether he will play or not with that corked thigh, he could still be a late withdrawal.

If he does play then hopefully he isn't fully fit as he's carved us up before, fully fit or not we should be targeting him physically to try and test him out.

If anyone could teach Max about workrate it's Nick, no key forwards in the game have worked harder than him, hopefully he can pass on some advice.
