It's interesting, if you praise the club, coach or players on here you're practically labelled a nuffie.

On a St Kilda SUPPORTER forum.

What's the purpose of the forum? Maybe some need to think about it. All I see is half a dozen people bagging the club.

George certainly isn't an overly positive supporter. I've seen him be scathing of all areas of the club. But he can see there's a problem here.

There was plenty of praise for club, coach and players earlier in the season from the people who are negative now.

For some, it's based on how we're doing.

Many of us got laughed at for saying Ratts hadn't done enough to be re-signed just yet. "oh but we're 8 and 3" was the response. It was a pile on. Well look at us now.

If it was up to some here we'd still have Richo as coach.

Clarkson will coach next year.

We missed the boat.

And for the large parts of the last two years we've looked like an absolute shambles on the field.

I want the club to see success. I know the way there is through accountability. If you think that means I'm not being a "supporter" so be it.

I think we should win the next two but can't see us staying in the 8 after that unless a few sides roll over. Geelong should slit our jugular down there and we won't recover.

That said last year and the year before it was like sides still in the race tried their best to miss finals. You never know but I don't think anything about our form suggests that finals won't end in a smashing and a psychological pummelling. I'd almost rather miss and stay hungry than make it and be humiliated.

Playing finals is never a bad thing. For us to make we have beaten good sides so we will be in form. Having said that I think west coast are playing better than us so tomorrow is far from a certain win. I do know one thing though. Today I will umpire worse than any game previously. Got a massive headache. The 4 hash brown 3 dim sims and a no sugar coke to lose weight hasn’t improved the situation.

I doubt someone of his age is losing the captaincy. I think injury is effecting his performance. He seemed ok with it last year.

I think his performance hasn't changed much. This year his team mates around him have stepped up so he's not as obviously our star player any more. Even early in the year he looked frustrated and angry. He was lucky the umpires seem to like him because he sulked and stopped to whinge.

He doesn't look happy this season. Frustration of team mates not keeping up or game plan or something is getting to him. Last year we had an unexpectedly terrible year so some of that has to be attributed to leadership on field as well.

I wasn't surprised that Jones and NWM got dropped, as they provided no defensive pressure, or much outside run and link up and this put a lot of pressure on our backline. I thought Higgins was in the same boat for lack of defensive pressure and should have gone too.

Yep it’s the game plan for sure. Surely his form is no where near last year. He was AA. Even without injury he isn’t even close to AA. Anyway my point stands. He is certain to be captain unless he leaves the club.

I think from here 12 wins would likely get us in.

Obviously all this relies on us turning our form around enormously. That's the huge thing against us but when you look at the run-in we seem as good a chance as anyone to make it which is frankly bizarre.
