lol, mate, your th one with the video showing a couple of accurate kicks inside 50 from walker, hold on to it, wont see one of those every weekend :)
w***er.
If you choose to ignore the obvious thats well and good, Walker will throw in the odd gem of a game because he is a superb athlete, if only he had the skills of a superb footballer.
What's the obvious?

That his kicking isn't as perfect as Houlihan's or Stevens'.

I never noticed that.

A shame that's all there is to playing football.

Even St Kilda and other top teams field players whose disposal by foot isn't any better than Walker's.

Why bag one part of someone's game?

Our better kicks would never clear a path for teammates by nailing players with a beautiful bump.
Some of You guys make me laugh, ignore the problems and all is well, we just wont talk about them...shhh :)
Some of your kind like to find something to complain about and act like paid commentators, not supporters after a win.

You're all rather boring.

I want to play regular finals, I want to win a flag, great to beat the tigers, but that's only 4 points against a struggling club. This is a business, buy, sell, trade, develope a squad that is comp, tune it, adjust it, get the balance right. We are in this process as we type. No point ignoring our at times weaknesses, they exist, and have to be attended to.

You're all rather boring.

TG the problem is when you have Walker/Carrots/Scotland feeding 10 - 20% of our inside 50's, on a good, and they have good days, its nice, but on average its pretty ordinary. Whilst this at times terrible service is bad enough, we are in the process of remodeling our forward line, not a great combo.

Do I think walker can play a role, yes, same with carrots and scotland. I don't know if we can afford to have all 3 of them in the same team for the reasons above.

I'm not a Scotland fan either, he busted his guts the other night, and it was great to see him breaking lines, really caught my eye, however he often undid all this great work with his final kick. Scotty can hit targets, but is a worry more often than not I reckon.

First time I've ever seen anyone knock Scotlands kicking

Scotland will often go sideways, the easy/soft kick, and thats okay, at times has to be done, ball retention, no options forward etal. Actually liked his run against the tigers and went direct a few times. He can hit a leading forward, he can float it a bit as well.

Heres a thought, watch the game and count the ordinary inside 50's, you may just be surprised as the amount of wastage, and by whom.

Can't believe Bower's out. MASSIVE blow. It's like as though we're destined to never play the Brisbane Retreads with a near full strength side. Were missing Waite, Jamo, Austin, Robbo and Setanta in the last game.

No matter. The more depleted our side, the more sweet an "upset" win over this regional recycled outfit will be. Love these against the odds games. Nothing to lose.

:)

If you want to lose a game, just bomb it long into an utraflooded defense. Guaranteed FAIL. Once the opposition have time to set up a flood, you have to use a few tricks to break open some space. And yes, this requires switching across the ground, plus a few dummy leads and blocks. Thought we did that well.

We did do that well, patience paid dividends, walker wasnt supplying that final kick tho. If a player breaks the lines from the mid its all about leg speed and delivery efficiency, thats not when you slow it down, unless there are no options. Beaking the lines creates the space, you are a man up.

:)

What did you miss? Try reading.

Scotland has been one of our best kicks and decision makers for years. He's played the quarter-back role delivering it out of the backline and is also one of best kicks for goal in the team, including from outside 50. Also one of the best decision makers in the team. Like everyone his game has faults but kicking is not and never will be one of them.

Agree there. His kicking is his strength and always has been. Looks set for a huge year - injury free, and great form. He's just a rock. An experienced, decisive midfielder. Is much underrated because of the big names in our midfield.

:)

He has been a rock over the years, but where exactly were we on the ladder during that time? TBH, would not have been hard to look good in our side during those years.

I thought he played well last week, this was not Scotland circa 2009 , lotsa positives. I'm talking inside 50 delivery here Sin, not a 30 meter kick to someone in space coming of half back, I'm not suggesting he is hopeless delivering inside 50, merely pointing out he has a habit of floating a fair few, ala carrots.

I'm talking weight of numbers, we have 3 players delivering inside 50 who have issues with that particular skill. I'm wondering if we can afford to have them all in our 22 at the same time.

OK so given that Bower is out (with a quad strain).

Who comes in as a direct replacement?

It's going to be a wet night on Thursday - do we go for a shorter replacement in Armfield? and look to change Joey for Gartlett?

I think we need a bigger body than Garlett against Brisbane, given we already have Betts and Yarran. Wouldn't think Armfield is fit enough yet. I didn't see the Ants, but I would say Grigg is a likely inclusion.

i heard from a mate that he strained his quad during Saturdays training session.

It was mentioned in The Age today also:http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-ne...ust-another-dangerous-lion-20100329-r89c.html

Thornton is certain to pick up Brown, given that the club's other tall defender, Paul Bower, injured a leg - believed to be an upper leg problem - at training on Saturday and will miss the Gabba game.

Thanks for that. Damn shame, he played really well on Thursday night. Hopefully it's not to serious, and he only misses a couple of games.

By the way, saw your best mate at the TAC games on Sunday. He said to say hello. :)
Has he installed the latest 'Aboriginal Draft Watch' iphone application yet? :D

... no doubt he was on the look out for any players with a tan!
