In: Rough and McEvoy (if fit)

Out: Nash and Pittonet

Pretty simple for mine really. I can't see us resting anyone when there is a rest before week 1 of the finals.

The benefit of Nash playing last weekened will be seen over the pre-season. He got rewarded for some solid form at VFL level, and will no doubt look to take his game to the next level in the VFL finals and pre-season.

Pittonet is still comfortably behind McEvoy and Ceglar.

Beyond the Saints game, Brand seems to be the logical omission for Sicily.

I can't see Howe coming straight back in. Our midfield has been really working well the past month, winning the contested ball and clearance count each week. Howe going out has seemingly opened the door for the Worpedo to spend time in the middle.

Birchall is the difficult one and it must be tempting for Clarko to play him in a final. You would think Miles would be most under the pump, but if his form stacks up in the remaining two games it would be a big call to drop him.

If possible, it would be good to get a look at Birch in a finals like game against the Swans.

Anyone thinking of going to Superhero Stadium for the game - if you want to sit in the GA area enter the code SHOPADOCKET and you can get adult tickets for $12.50, kids tickets for $2.50 and concession tickets for $8.50. They technically should pay you to endure the soulless shell that is Etihad, but not a bad deal none the less.

Weird, kids GA normally free, why charge $2.50 with a code?

Isn't the kids free tickets only on Sundays? Not sure overall - I don't have kids so am pretty clueless about the costs for them.

I'd give Rough another week off, He'll benefit from the extra rest and Keep Nash in , he'll benefit for the extra gametime.

Only make changes if McEvoy and Sicily are fit. Birchall a run at Box Hill if fit.

Kids free on Sunday

Kids under 2 (or 5 i think) always free

Just checking the website, and yes the normal price for GA kids 6-14 years is $5 and Kids under 6 is $2.

Thanks for the code :).

Don't believe we can upgrade Nash for Vickery, otherwise why wouldn't we have done that in the first place instead of Birchall?

Pretty sure given Vickery (and Rioli) aren't on the long term injury list, can't use to promote Cat B rookies.

Birchall isn't on the LTI anymore.
Yet Nash played last week.

This is the team I'd like to see in Week 1 of the finals. As much as I would like to see Howe come back in once his suspension expires, I think Worpel's good form may keep him out.

IN: Roughead, McEvoy, Birchall, Sicily

OUT: Brand, Pittonet, Miles, Nash

B: Stratton, Frawley, Hardwick

HB: Birchall, Sicily, Burton

C: Henderson, Mitchell, Smith

HF: Burgoyne, Schoenmakers, Gunston

F: Breust, Roughead, Puopolo

R: McEvoy, O'Meara, Shiels

INT: Impey, Morrison, Ceglar, Worpel

EMG: Duryea, Howe, Mirra, Miles

Yes. This is the side.

Get your eyes out of the stat sheet, folks.

Schoenmakers brings more to the side than what his stats suggest.
This was my point with the post above (hopefully people saw the sarcasm font I added).

Without Schoey we don't get those two goals. Yet all he got on the stats sheet were two measly handballs.

Agreed. This is as my number one side too. I don't see Swiss getting back into the first choice 22. I also don't see Howe coming in.

However, there is no way we will have a completely clean bill of health. It's good we now have the ability to shuffle deck chairs amongst both talls and smalls. I think I would be more confident in Nash coming in if one of our talls went down - to add versatility - than Pittonet, TOB or Hodgey. Or else bring in Brand and shuffle sicily forward.

This week, I think it's got to be Pittonet out for Roughead. If Big Boy is available then Nash goes for him.

I know that sounds like the opposite of like-for-like, but I think that Pittonet was a late call up to cover rough in his role as backup ruckman.

Quite possibly his biggest contribution to the club.

Thanks posthumous Ty you useless sack of potatoes
I think everyone needs to remember the true cause of the Tigers success, getting rid of Ty. I'm confident he is yet to make his biggest contribution to our club. We should take it as a positive sign, to the others, a portent........

Yes, and that was a hospital handpass from Worpel! Full credit to all 3 guys in that passage of play.
