Nup, we won't know if we're playing in a dead rubber until other teams have played next week. We'll 100% pick this team to win.
Cox isn't a good matchup for Hogan (speed and leap) but we had no choice. Draper's ball-watching, general cluelessness without an opponent and being out-bodied would have been worse.
All things considered we played well (against a very good side) and really let down by some players that shouldn't be in the team next year.
We clearly lack speed, pressure ability and the recognition to stop the rebound in our front half.

We might have McDonald available to us next week, just as a possible alternative to Davies.
But he has GOT to be ready to come back. Don't need him coming in and blowing his knee out again in the first 5 mins.

Neither will be 100%. Better to save them for the slim chance we play finals than risk them for what could end up being a nothing game. Best case scenario things fall our way and both have an extra two weeks to get back to full fitness. Worst case scenario they come back prematurely, reinjure themselves, and then have another interrupted pre season while we flunk out of finals week one, or don't make finals at all.

Yes, but it can still be a dead rubber if Carlton and the Pies don't win another game between them (or the Dogs in principle).
From what I saw last evening that doesn't seem very likely lol. They are both very strong though. Doubt Draper or Davies could match them physically. Would prefer O Mac if he is available., otherwise someone will just have to give it a shot. Draper ended up doing ok against McLean, so who knows

If cox was injured I doubt they’d leave him out there.
JLo after the game seemed to indicate treacy and Darcy likely but Pearce not.

There’s few others that should follow him out to Peel (Sharp especially) but I can’t see wholesale changes happening although I would love to see Jackson dropped for some short term pain to long term gain. It won’t happen though especially since Darcy and Treacy aren’t available. I can’t remember seeing a player mistiming his jumps as often as Jackson, he seriously needs to work on that but I’m not confident that can be fixed with him. I hope Im wrong.

Treacy on Alter G, genuine half a chance to play unlike the last two weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if they name him and play it by ear based on results
