Not the final score, but these will do...

Geez they must have him on some industrial strength hypertension meds... no red there at all

Went to the game tonight and all I have to say is...wow

Yes it was disappointing to lose, but as a football fan, it was exciting to see a team rip it's opposition to shreds on every line, forwards, mids, backs. What a performance, everyone played their role perfectly, reaction time was sharp, intensity was incredible. Buckley was out-coached considerably.

Haven't had time to sit down and watch the replay properly but surely there isn't any negatives you guys took away from this game?? Looking down the stat sheet you can take positives away from everyone's performance, Judd/Murphy combining for almost 80 possessions, Kreuzer's rucking clinic, Armfield's courage for jumping back into the play as he was running off (which was a personal highlight for me)

I am downloading the game now to watch it again... I loved Army's effort while he was hobbling off. Just go to show how dedicated he was to the game.

Obversations from todays game

Got to love Eddie answering the questions on whether he can do it against top side. O'Brien always beats him apparently.I wonder if that hand pass in the 3rd quarter counts as an assist.

Great to see the double team tackles all day long. Will be interested to see if the woods can regain that sort of passion this year.

I am not getting too excited by the Rolls Royce service from the rucks - Jolly can't get off the ground and Woods can't out mark a guy 6" shorter. Woods has been at the club 5 years and he has only just got the professionalism of an AFL footballer. Where is the leagues best development programme on that one? Would both be in line to be dropped?

Fantastic to have 2 goal kicking half backs who can drill them from outside 50.

Champion Data need to reassess the points criteria to capture some of Kreuzer's efforts.

Is Carrots on track for Ling's AA lock down role? Form is outstanding and he is now an A grader.

Reconed Kreuzer was just awesome tonight, he smashed it in hitouts and they were such quality hitouts. Judd, Murphy, Scotland and Carrazzo cleaned up. Gibbs played his role out the back of stoppages well. Armfield, Touhy and Robinson were tough as nails. Waite was good and Betts got another bag and should have got more frees, O'Brian was all over him every time. Jammo was rusty but came good as the game went on. Bower made 1 really bad mistake letting Dawes goal side and he kicked a goal but he was good. Laidler looked tired but played excellent. Henderson AA.

The improvement is from Carrazzo, Armfield, Touhy, Robinson, Kreuzer and Murphy. Vastly improved players this season.

Good to see Eddies Succession plan is working for him, the Collingwood players are now playing Buckleys style and its bringing out there weaknesses big time, Swan looks out of shape(Fat) and they are getting smashed at Clearances and There attack on the opposition (Tackles) are poor, maybe Eddie now realises that he let Malthouse go to early for a untried coach. Ratts out coached Buckley and showed the football world that Carlton are a team to be reckoned with now..

Our Backline was Fantastic, Henderson is playing Brilliantly down back and runs and carrys the ball which in turn sets up our Forwards, The best part of the game was the Coast to Coast goals we scored. And the best part is we still have so many players under 100 games who are only going to get Better. Murphy and Judd will tie for the Brownlow this year..

Carrots absolutely destroyed pendlebury and has continued his brilliant start to the year. So pleased to see him doing so well as he's copped a lot from people in the past about not being up to standard.

Just got home and have finished downloading it (thanks zee) now to sit back and watch again. Does anyone else think it's a bit shit foxtel put the replay on straight away, so people who were there miss most of it. Really need a foxfooty +2.

Absolutely! Carrots has copped quite a bit on here and I must admit I've got stuck into him a few times before but I am happy to be proven wrong when it involves him shutting Pendles right out of the match. He beat him in clearances something like 11 - 3 kicked a goal did very well. I guess a lot was made out of judd and Murphy vs swan and Pendlebury which is where I made the comparison. But if carrazzo keeps up this form with his negating role then we have another a class mid because not only does he shut the oppositions best mid out, he racks up the disposals as well and the good news is I think it's time we say that carrazzo is not Italian for turn over because his disposal efficiency has been amongst the best.

Btw if you can upgrade your foxtel to a +2 do it. I did a couple years ago and now I can't imagine not having it. I recorded both the foxtel hd broadcast and the ch7 one as well so I get the post match stuff as well.

BTW how good did Duigan look in the short time on field. Very composed.

Not many serious clangers by the team but one that stood out....Kruze marking in the goal square and playing on. Players must learn thats not on. I thought we had a team rule against it.

Some opposition supporters have asked me over the preseason whether our best players are going to continue at 2011 level or improve in 2012. They questioned whether Gibbs will take the next step and if Judd can continue at his stellar 2011.

My answer then and is now: It's not our top 6 or 10 that will take us to the next step. They can take care of themselves and as a group will feed off each other's success.

In my view the major development to take us from 5th place and well into the top 4 is how our bottom 6 or so players develop. Well tonight, the contribution across the park was very even and heart warming for those of us who hung in during the Dark Years.

It is so pleasing to see the players who are not walk up starts in the 22 really contribute to the team performance. I am thinking here of players like Tuohy, Armfield, Curnow. Even Kane Lucas who was subbed off did some very nice things.

The only one I have questions about from tonights display is Paul Bower. I like him personally, a really nice guy. But out of the 22 I think we got the least out of him tonite. Maybe he will snap back to his form of earlier years (2009 or 2010?), and I hope so. But at this stage it is about getting the 4 points. And in this regard, Thornton offers more than Bower.

But if that selection is the only issue I can identify, then we are in a pretty good place. And you can't help but love it and bask in giving the other mob a reality check.

Really good point about the bottom 6...someoneone mentioned this on talk back post game, do we have the best bottom 6? Arguably ... Hawks do also, certainly ours last night were fantastic, Army, Touhy, Curnow, etc...yep these are the guys that are taking us to the next level.

What a win, the first home game in my new reserved seats, wow, crowd going nuts, just loved it!

The best win bar a final for as long as I can remember, we are going too eso hard to beat, I don,t think we're peaking n April, we could play much much better..... The high light for me was the 3rd qtr,

Jarrad is vital for our flag challenge

Go the mighties.....:)

Loved the passion Zac Tuohy plays with, some of his attacks on the ball in dispute were a highlight, and loved his big fist pump at the end once the siren went.

No.

Thornton can legitimately play both back and forward but Bower cannot.

Wasn't happy with Jamo being made to play forward either. He is nearly an AA fullback. FFS play him there.

Why, what is the point in questioning the decisions of the MC when they have just delivered a win like that? What is the point in whining about stuff you clearly dont know enough about? Just enjoy FFS.

Stop harshing our mellow man.

Dramoth, I'm just wondering what site you download the game from?:)
