Was seated in the MCC members area, and had a group of guys behind me, two hawks and a Geelong supporter. It was great, not just watching Collingwood get SLAUGHTERED (which is always fun) but also the conversation with the neutrals. Some points from the night included

1. Waite was bloody impressive. Is presence up forward was massive and something was always happening when he was involved.

2. Our spread and ball movement was sensational, be it moving the ball out to a runner in the clearance or spreading after a turn over. Our running patterns were first class, something obviously drilled into the team over the pre season. Everyone had a position to run to on a turn over are there was always an option on.

3. There was a massive cheer when ever Armfield was near the ball
We were all sure he was done for a couple of weeks after the first quarter but his impact after the incident was MASSIVE (has he ever played a better game?)

4. Our midfielder is elite. Everyone knows our top shelf is great but our second tier is what is bridging the gap from last. Carazzo, Scotland, Simpson, Armfield, Curnow etc. The group is playing as a unit and there isn't a weak link.

5. The neutrals were also impressed with our pressure, chase and tackle. The PIes were off yesterday but a lot of that was due to the constant pressure they were under.


It was nice to hear some honest praise from neutral supporters.

Yeah it can be very hit and miss regarding the people around you at a game. Remember last year at the North game 2 Carlton supporters were the main freaks around us.


Oh and I forgot about the praise for the backline. Did Collingwood get more than a handfull of marks in their forward 50 in the first 3 quarters??? (I don't count the last quarter, it was obvious both side were just going through the motions after 3/4 time.

hey guys, may have been discussed already, but is anyone aware of any replays of the game being shown on tv? was at work and missed a lot of the match but would trade a first round pick for a complete replay of the game. flicked over the regular tv guide and couldnt see anything, any ideas on fox??

I liked how in the Ratts/Carrots presser Ratts was saying how Carrots had outdone some of the other guys with triplets...
