Watched the first half replay and don't get how so many people go crazy about Conca's disposal, yes he missed two kicks but seriously Houli, Lambert, Isaac Smith, O'Meara, Gunston, Grigg, Shedwards, Butler, KMac, plus another two hawks players I don't know the names of all missed just as easy kicks.
Vendetta mate...just a vendetta

Townsend played the least TOG of any player and spent a lot of bench time having remedial work done. Add to that off screen he worked Brand and Frawley into the ground actively drawing them from Riewoldt and Martin on multiple occasions. Doubt JR would have kicked all 4 without him. He had a GA he could have kicked himself and 2 behinds, if they all went through we wouldn't be discussing him.

Graham had an injury IMO, played reduced time and had multiple stints in the forward line. Just never looked his explosive self. Had his upper quad or ham area wrapped after the game. With a short break I'd be inclined to rest him for Caddy.

Sort of makes my point a bit.... Important for all of our guys to have significant game time at either AFL or VFL level to keep/gain form and fitness. They both got that last year prior to being brought in. I'm not saying they need to be dropped, just looking at ways to boost their form (in the coming weeks). I agree Towner has been the better of the 2 this year.

As much as I hammered Conca through the week, he went to the midfield and stood up. Prestia coming in puts him under the pump. But if not, and its just Caddy, although he goes into the mids, as a forward too, puts more pressure on Lloyd imo, and Conca stays. If Broad also gets the nod, even with my scaring from Conca R1, with Caddy being a forward, Jack, Higgins that is, may make way. Prefer he stays though and Caddy do more midfield time.

Conca was much better after half time but he just has to dispose of the ball better. He was also uncharacteristically fumbly against Adelaide last week. I love his endeavour. I think he is somewhere in the region of 22-28 in terms of our list so he'll frequently be part of these kind of discussions. Pressure on selection for the right reasons is a good thing though. I'd prefer Prestia not to come straight in until he has done some work but the ressies have the bye this week so that's not ideal if we want to bring him in for Dees. He may need to play against Brissy with limited minutes (if fit). Agree with Caddy comments.

A woman can punch another woman in the face, anyway I moved.

Watching the replay again Towner puts on so much pressure whenever the ball comes near him. He didn't get a lot of possessions but he influenced a lot of plays and unless his replacement would be able to do that better then I wouldn't be dropping him anytime soon.

If he has a weakness it is that he is not a great pack mark but I'm not going to hold that against him.

Jacks first goal out of the ruck, second intercepts a kick in, third over the top handball in the goal square and the last he did block out Hardwick, but there were three other Hawks trying to spoil so he would not have gone up anyway. He may have protected him during the game but had nothing to do with his goals.
His output is dropping each week, but Caddy does not play the deep roll, so he will probably stay until another tall pushes him out.

For those saying Townsend should be replaced by Caddy...
I don't think you truly watch football. The amount of body work he does off the ball to allow players to get clean possession or take marks brilliant. He blocked a Hawthorn player away from Higgins to mark the ball to kick his first. I think he is a better player working in unison with Caddy, where Caddy plays almost like a CHF, and Townsend plays the role of the lead up forward/niggly campaigner.

Lloyd and Conca go out for Broad/Prestia and Caddy.

Prestia maybe another week. If so, Broad gets his shot, and Prestia plays next week and replaces the worst performed of Higgins and Short

Agreed, he makes our forward structure do what it does. With Caddy back in it will help him and Martin.

I have faith in the new system.
Reckon Rance will get a $2000 fine.
I'm so confident if i'm wrong i'll go to every lolnorf game from now on.
MRP playing the long fist. 3rd fine in round 23 for all of them...

Does Kamdyn have something wrong with he’s eye sight? Always fumbles in night games but is so clean and always plays well in day games
Will be our CEO when he retires.:D

Flossy i have no problem with the fine but if Rance was a fine then the AFL are going to get rich quick because there are so many late attempted spoils that are just free kick and 50's and get no MRP fine, helps when a player stays on the ground for what is effectively a clip over the ear and this is why the MRP gave Rance a fine IMO.
Why didn't the hawk get fined for a very similar action involving George in the 1st?

That was seriously not a 50, barely touched George but i wasn't complaining.
Ok then. Why didn't Hocking come out and say the umps got it wrong otherwise he agreed and the MRP got it wrong for not fining hawk? for exactly what Rance did and that was a careless hit to the head.

Because George got straight up and didn't stay on the ground acting, only reason Rance got a fine.
