He’s building a reputation for being very clean as well. Rarely ever see him fumble. Reckon we might have nailed the pick

I'm seeing others like Ward, that we were too late to get, and yes, looks like a player, but i don't get that Bruce McEvaney "Special" vibe like i do with NWM.

Jweb > Long
Jones > Windy
Billings > Wood
Ryder > Hayes
Clark > NWM/Lienert

These are the changes we can expect in the coming weeks potentially, I would love for NWM to stay though. We’re playing so well, it’s going to be hard to drop players and hard for players to crack in to.
1. No way am I dropping Long. He is back to his 2020 best but has done it at either end so far. Very very good today and we have a number of players who are able to move any direction off a step rather then straight line running - one of which is longy.

2. Billings can be the medical sub. NWM does more with 15 touches.

I wouldn’t rush Jones in … midfields performing well .. history of soft tissue injuries give him at least one more run maybe 2

Its up to the conditioning guys of course. And yes if they decide to bring him back in, then Windy has had a good taste of where he needs to be.

Its Webster who deserves to be straight back in, but i don't want to push Long out either. But neither Long nor Webster are versatile enough to play a lot of roles. Can Windy drop back to the VFL and let Long play forward and back, with Webster some time on the wing and Higgins some time in the guts?

We got a steal with Higgins, he was the most talented of the Richmond small forwards, a lot of Richmond supporters weren't happy they let him go.

He was genuinely one of the players in the mix when we selected Clark and Coffield, and so far owns his spot more than either.

Longy legit hasn't put a foot wrong since he came in for Higgo and Nasiah has been building nicely and just looks better and better every week. Going to be rough whoever goes out for Billings, Webster, Jones and Clark but I hope the pair survive. Thankfully still looks a while before all are back.

Play Billings on a forward flank, reckon he will flourish if everyone around him continues to play well.

Billings at his best is in our best 22 but I'd like to keep NWM in our side too, I'd be dropping Wood for Billings rather than NWM.

Not that Wood really deserves to be dropped either, I thought he was OK today after a poor start and he has versatility to play different positions.

Good to have competition for spots though, when Billings, Clark, Jones and Paddy are ready to go spots are going to be hot, perform or get dropped.
Billings does not offer the same physicality as wood, also doesn’t provide a marking threat. Wood selling the candy 3 times at the end of the game and deliver a lace out kick to Gresham for the sealer, have never seen that type of composure from Billings. So Wood in please unless Billing kicks the door down at Sandy and demands a spot.

A kid with 5 games to his name takes meterage and pulls off quality kicks that bust zones and structures apart.

Not sure how that gives me a short memory. Billings for all his talent has never been that player
