I didn't think Pup was great either. Unless these two are in top form, I would rather be giving the kids a go in their place.

I agree, pup was probably better than I think just because i want to see the youngsters play. Fingers crossed Ned gets a game.

I'd love

Out: Reeves (inj), Shiels, Philips, Lewis (inj), Worpel (just to find form in the 2's)
In: Long, Callow, Lynch, Wingard, Day.

Expect scrim, Morrison, JOM, McDonald with Phillips as sub. Worpel to get a run at box hill as he butchered the ball on weekend as Phillips run is better suited to Tassie. Long and callow need to do more at BH but will probably get a chance this year.

Lynch, kosi, Nash to rotate through the ruck. Just need to neutralise ladhams.
I wasn't there for the entire training session this morning but Nash was doing a lot of rucking. Actually thought he had the better of Lynch.

I don't see similar angst against O'Meara then. Has missed a lot of games, and not many have been match winners.

Cost a fair bit at the trade table

Plenty of angst about the O'Meara trade. Where have you been?

Re Wingard Body - You can't just look at the 50 out of 66 games played.

He has missed a lot of pre-seasons so often doesn't come out firing, also he has had to drop weight so he doesn't get injured meaning he can't tackle very well or impact contests as well. (or go in the guts).

If you are happy with how his body is holding up then good for you but I question his durability.

Good on Wingard for dropping weight and trying to get his body right though.

I will not be surprised if JOM is managed against the Swans or against Melbourne with only a 5 day break between the 2 games.

Were they poor or were given more defensive roles so less noticeable.

They are probably the first ones out though when Day, Bramble and Wingard are fit to come back
Can’t discount the experience they bring/brought, especially around Duke, CMac, Ward.

So is this tilt on F2A or not? Can't work it out! Says 12:30am(?) on AFL app?! Be nice to have an Anzac day double header on 7 but seems probably unlikely.🤔
12:30 AM??

Not necessarily.
Games on a Monday or Tuesday in extended rounds the teams are a guide only, with teams not needing to be in until saturday

I believe it's the same as if it were a Sunday though isn't it? It seemed to be that way with last week's side. Omissions only related to guys named on the bench on the initial Thursday team announcement.

Assuming CJ misses with a hamstring:

Dimma Frost DGB
Impey Sicily Day
Ward Mitch Morrison
Jaeger Gunston Bruest
Wingard Kosi Moore
Lynch Nash Newk
Scrim Shiels Long CMac
Phillips

Out: CJ Lewis Worpel Reeves
In: Day Lynch Wingard Long

I hope Sam selects Callow for this week. The chances for Kosi, Jeka, Callow and Serong to have a proper chance at showcasing their talents this season or until Gunston retires will be very rare.
My Ins: Lynch, Callow, Day, Wingard
My Outs: Reeves, Lewis, Phillips, Shiels
