Day will play. I daresay Chad will too.
Love both inclusions, both great talents and make the club better - that said, bringing in blokes who aren't cherry ripe might compromise our advantage of being able to collectively cover 20km more than the opposition team on any given day.

I wonder how Lynch’s fitness base is looking. The setbacks he has had may be impacting his training load. Even if he plays I’m not expecting him to be a world beater.
Doesn't need to be a world beater, just needs to compete. Kosi lost his opponent too often and let them get clean hits, Nash is great at evening out the contest but he's much more damaging as a midfielder than a ruck.

Thanks.

I'll be honest and say I know nothing about Max Lynch to the point where when Hawthorn supporters mentioned "Lynch" I thought "perhaps that is where Adelaide's Tom Lynch went"

I have heard of Nash though he hasn't left a big impression.
Nash has had a little upsurge since late last year. Has been moved to the midfield. Now is chopping out as a ruck. Has become a very handy versatile player

Lynch was traded in last season from Coll and has played this year.

I dont know why so many posters on this site like to proudly bring up their lack of knowledge. All it does is announce that you dont pay much attention outside your own club.

Depending on availability,
I’d be going Day, Lynch, Wingard
For Reeves, Worpel, Shiels.
Phillips the sub

Still prefer to see Worpel get a few weeks at box hill. Was ok today, but still Going at 42% DE. Just don’t need him in
Agree about Worpel. I would be inclined to rest one of Ward or McDonald. No point burning them out.

I am not sold on Kosi, i think he losses his spot, Callow would be the pick, Jeka aswell, just think they're better players who need chances.

Bramble back for BH this week i'd say.

Lynch comes in if Reeves doesnt play, we could play both and drop Kosi tho.

Shiels and Phillips come out, one to the sub.

Worpel a chance to come back in.

I've done it already but i think i've changed my mind.

INS:
Wingard, Day, Worpel/Lynch?
OUTS:
Shiels, Phillips, Kosi, Reeves?

I like to think I know a reasonable amount about most clubs but you can't expect non-supporters to know much about reasonably new players who have not played blinders of games. I know Swans fans love Justin McInerney but I also know a lot of AFL fans of other clubs have either never heard of him or recently have heard of him.

Of course, I dont expect anyone to know anything.

Just think its odd that people like to regularly announce their ignorance regarding players from a team, when discussing said team.

Which is why I was asking questions here as I want to know about these players. I find it interesting how Hawthorn have basically rebuilt in stealth.

Cant knock someone for trying to educate themselves. :thumbsu:

That said, I have seen you post all over this site, regularly, for a long time, including trade week. When you see someone with such a high volume of posts, you assume someone is a footy nut, so it surprises me you would not have even heard of Lynch. I guess Im learning today too.

I hate the AFL $wans !!! Will be a big test for our young side on getting over a great victory and not dropping our intensity.

Lynch needs to come in for Reeves.

Shiels and Phillips were both poor. Both were on the ground for 76% of the time with Liam having 13 touches and Phillips 9.

Day in for one, not sure what to do with the other... as not sure Howe or Maginness are the answer at the moment. Cannot wait for Bramble to be back fit.

In my small defence he has only played 4 games over the space of 3 years. Still I now know of him and will see how he plays on the weekend to get an opinion on him.

Lots of calls for Callow to play ruck instead of Kosi. Has he been playing that roll in the 2s and been training ruck? How's he gone?
Was the second choice to Kosi as seconds ruck, has been okay - definitely not a long term answer.

I think the advantage that Callow has over Kosi is that he's a better endurance player and is a good mark, so he might offer more around the ground.

Some tough judgements on Kosi in here based on yesterday. I doubt he was picked for the purpose of rucking for 3 quarters of footy. It’s not his fault we don’t have any other ruck options.
I thought we looked better structured with Kosi in the forward line this week before Ned went down.

I'd like to see an increase in kicking efficiency of our young draftees. Not sure why they are trying to match it with the master, but Finn has them beat. Josh Ward though, how good must his handballs be?
