We can banter all we like about who is in form and who is not, but the reality is we have no real in form players deserving a spot. We simply dont have the depth to manage our current injury list and we are treading water until those senior players get back. Injuries have cruelled this club for far too long and continue to do so??? Even when the injured players return it will take them weeks to get going ala Sinclair.

I wonder if King will get some rucking exposure if he is not firing up forward?

History shows teams with our list and injuries simply dont recover from where we currently sit. We dont have the list Carlton has and I doubt we are making a miraculous late season charge. I believe a mid table finish is our reality this year!

I expect another prime time TV thumping Friday night, but if RTB can pull out a miracle win he will deserve a pay rise.

The Port board is.. weird to say the least. Almost every reply is about as long and deeply thought out as your average twitter post. Like, its barely coherent ramblings.

I love the Port board. I'm not one that usually goes on other boards but I strayed in there for opinions on a player we were looking at a few years back. It was a psychedelic experience. There was a guy reminiscing about eating a can of dog food in some place in a desert in an ode to Mad Max and it just got weirder from there. It seemed to trail off on tangents and strange fever dreams. Elite weirdness.

We have 1 consistent ball winning mid - Steele, that’s it. Surprised we don’t get pantsed every week. Lyon’s dour defensive system is keeping it close (except last week), the game style is boring and frustrating as hell, but what choice do we have with all the injuries and only young players to fill in.

If Crouch, Dow and Henry can make it back soon, that’s where the improvement going to be coming from.

Also, Mason Wood comes in this week.

Update on the on/off numbers for Mason:

Since arriving at the club, St Kilda have won 57% of their matches when Wood has played, and 25% of the matches he has not played.

Have not been keeping up with current affairs on here, so am surprised it's a bit of doom and gloom on here.

Not bothered by to much by our latest result. Players underdone, a number missing, they will be underdone too as they become available. The reported 3 games in 11 days is poor by the AFL.

By next week, everyone bar Crouch, Henry and Butler will be ready to resume. Crouch and Henry will be available a couple weeks later.

We will come home strong.

In the meantime i believe we have what it takes at present to challenge everyone with the exception of the blues.

We have it in us to roll Port at home.

Keep the faith brother. (as difficult as it may be) :)

Hard to understate how much we are missing ... Liam Henry.
Absolutely massively The Punter.

He was a revelation(I'm not religious btw....although my religion is red white and black.) against the Pies.

I thought....how good is this guy.....he's exactly what we need....and he was delivering spades.

Get stuffed footy Gods !!!!!!!!!

;) ;)

Just want to see some hope from this week. Looking for a good game from Ownes, Windy or Pou.

Play Owens in the guts ffs. If we insist on gifting Pou games ask him to play the Mason Wood role. He might be useful pushing back hard into defence. He sure ain't cutting it as a forward.

Roll Stocker through the middle again in bursts, reckon we are onto something there.

Another startling stat.

It's quite amazing how much his form determines our output.

I want to see 15 changes this week, MINIMUM.
Would be happy with 3.
  • King for Butler (inj)
  • Hayes for Caminiti (form)
  • Schoenmaker for Jones (surely done)

Get Sincs in around the ball, Garcia to play fwd for pressure on Houston, Sharman to play fwd.
Send Pou to the sub for a rest and come on with some impact.

The rest are either not match fit (Clark, Dow, Paton, Collard's hamstring) or dont have the form to justify a game.
