It was absolutely poor coaching. The reason no one took the game on was because Collingwood played exactly like Carlton did the two weeks before we fired Bolton. Buckley has lost the playing group, they want him gone. Move him out now so you can show FA’s that you still have the talent and return to finals next year.
They are still playing for him, just running around like headless chooks.

Saturday hugs everyone.

Dark days indeed. This has been 5-6 years of putrid list management which has brought us to this point.

Not much to look forward to this draft period with little draft currency, and which free agent would want to come to Collingwood.

Went to the game today and it was the flattest I have seen the crowd.

So many of our leaders are absent or in career worst form. Special mention to DeGoey who is simply taking the pi$$ in accepting his pay cheque.

Like Keane - looks angry - I like it. Poulter good first up game.

Please put Darcy Moore back to CHB.

Priceless. A Carlton fan giving advice on coaching.

Are you confident Teague will last the season?

And Buckley said it was a lack of DNA.

Where's Professor Julius Sumner Miller when you need him?

Why is it so?
We could use some chalk dipped in ink right about now.

This is everything wrong about our football club right here. There are some that love Bucks more than the club itself.
Blame the players as much as you want. But either the game plan is horrendous & it is, or the players lost trust in the coach over the Treloar fiasco & don't want to support him any longer. If this week doesn't tell you that, then next week certainly will. If they replace the coach midyear expect & resurgence of nearly every player on the list to top form.
I am somewhat amused when posters talk about game plan (or no plan B).

Do you really think it was the game plan to play the wings all day? Or that GC playing that extra man in defence with no-one going near him, Thomas with his habit of hands on head if he stuffed up and not going to the next play, JDG missing a sitter when we were still in with a chance or kicking to a contest when we were one on three?

I could go on but can anyone tell me with absolutes what the game plan was?

Sacking Bucks mid season would be a knee jerk reaction. It'd appease the fans, make us feel good for a short time, before reality sets in and we all realise the issue is a lot bigger than just the coach. Bucks needs to go but he should see out the season.

At least we know Him and his Idiot Mates won't coach passed this year

sr36 is gonna melt so hard about our live trading last year
I've gone through denial and onto rage. I'll be standing up in a meeting by August saying "My name is sr36 and I'm a tradaholic."

But seriously, the lower or higher we finish won't change my perspective positively or negatively. Neither will how good or bad Poulter ends up - pretty promising today. The deal was done in December and should be based on December info. It was a shit deal then and what happens later doesn't make it better or worse. The thing that will change my perspective is if 2020 turns out to be a cracker draft. Like Carlton trading out their first in the Walsh draft, it would have been a ballsy but good call.

Was a really hard game to watch, lucky I had some very funny Pie supporters around me as had to laugh.

Especially the umpiring and they did it without swearing. :)

Another sad aspect was seeing supporters who left early in droves.

Well when we are playing so Crap does not make you want to stay and keep Watching the Crap.

Nothing wrong with Swearing

Issue is, which of the assistants takes over? They are all spuds.
Doesn’t matter. Let skipworth coach out the year, thrashings and game plan be damned. Just the simplest of game plans, kick it to the top of the square and play on instinct.Narrow the focus for the next 4 months on BEATING YOUR MAN. We’ll see who can beat their man and who has good instincts. Celebrate winning one on one contests Rather than winning games. Why not make good use of the time. change is as good as a holiday and the players will enjoy the freedom and simple instruction. Winning one on ones never goes out of fashion. Start today.

Went today. Second game I've been to this year. The difference between the two was stark. Against Brisbane we played with desperation all night. Today there was very little. It was awful.

I genuinely cannot stand JDG. He plays with an arrogance that is so undeserved. I would not care what we received in return. I would trade him regardless.

One passage of play in the 2nd summed up the day for me. Callum Brown got the ball somewhere between half back and wing. Darcy Moore is 90 metres away and calling him up. No lead. Brown runs and takes 2 bounces I think and is 60 metres from Moore. Moore calls him to put it on his head. No lead. Now I've only watched Cal Brown play a dozen times. And I've never trained with him. But I know he can't kick 50 metres let alone 60. Brown knows he can't make the distance, tries to get around someone and goes onto his left. Which is worse than his right. Kicks a 25 metre scrubber straight to the opposition.

We are almost unwatchable at the moment.
