I posted way back mid year that I would have some interest in acquiring Jordan Russell.
I remember his 2010 was super. He was incredibly clean coming off half back, could defend as he built his body up and he possessed great pace and rebound ability. Was actually pin point taking all of Carlton's kick-ins too, despite how maligned his footwork has been over the journey.
He would definitely be worth a look at 25 years of age.
He just fell out of favour at Carlton. IMO he was a best 22 player for them but someone obviously had it in for him.
im too fast for u wicksy
Here's some better pics
any player who is delisted immediately comes with an asterix next to their head. If he is so incredibly clean and good at shutdown defending, why has he been delisted? (not even worth trading)
How can you tell?not much of a verticle leap going off the 2nd pic.
He fell out of favour at Carlton despite finishing runner up in their BnF in 2010.
Leroy Brown was delisted. Doesn't mean that Russell doesn't have a role still to play somewhere. He is only 25 and has proven he can play AFL football at the top level- runner up in a BnF as I said.
Personally, I wouldn't be against the club recruiting him. He would be an instant upgrade on Simon Buckley who currently plays that same role. At least Russell can actually defend and has genuine leg speed with penetration in his kicking.
The reason he never played was that did Ratten not like him the same with Thornton but I do not the Pies will make a play for him nor should they.any player who is delisted immediately comes with an asterix next to their head. please only use english in the forum...He will be though Marty pask his manager has said as much.
Russell wouldn't be the worst choice. We don't have a good shutdown small defender, and if Russell gets back to his 2010 form then he would be handy for us.
Wowee Jordan Russell. Like Roberton, Pedersen, Tippett and most likely Hickey he is just another name linked to us because it's good for the contract situation. I think we could name a best 22 of players linked to us this year
For your sake I hope he doesn't mention we may be trading for someone else.Walsh on TradeRadio at 3:30pm. I am recording this TradeRadio Epsiode

Otherwise you're in for another long week.
How can you tell?
And trade radio dies in the arse just before Walshy is due to come on...
How do you know they're jumping straight up? How do you know he's at his peak and not on the way up or down?going poff the fact they both are jumping straight up and he only got off the ground about 20cm while the other ruck has about a foot higher.
And trade radio dies in the arse just before Walshy is due to come on...
they knew they were down, did they still interview walsh?
Just continued on with the show so far... that's just stupid. Show us the interview!
