Rumour time - from an email I received this morning:

"A young girl in our office is mates with Willem Drew and Kane Farrell's girlfriends. Well feedback is that the players want Ken gone. One always suspects this kind of stuff, but when you hear it literally from the horse's mouth, it makes you scratch your head and think, "Why have we still got him?"

Would love nothing more than this rumour to be true. But whoever sent this email doesn't know what "from the horse's mouth" means.

I don’t think JHF would look at Hinkley and go ‘premiership coach’.

I can see him opening his mouth against Hinkley at some point.

And Hinkley knows it, which is exactly why he tried to get his hooks into him early with the Daddy routine.

Remember this grandstanding bullshit on the field after the 2023 Gather Round game? 17 other AFL coaches would have done that in the sheds like a professional. Hinks knew exactly what he was doing. Cameras on him.

Simple logic says that any given coach (Hinkley included) will have players who like them and respond well to them and players who don't like them and don't respond well to them. A good coach maximises the former and minimises the latter whilst getting the absolute most out of the collective.

I would love to know more about the "thorough process" that decided a coach in his 11th season without a GF appearance, an awful record against top 8 teams for more than a decade and 2 final wins in the prev 8 years needed to sign his fourth separate contact extension since being at the club before finals commenced taking his tenure into a 12th and 13th season.
It was basically Dom Cucksissy and George Costanza debating the best colour for the rubber stamp.

Not sure if this has been posted before but came up in my Youtube recommendations.

You don't need a 1 hour video, with incredibly awkward and poor presentation to know that Kane has been going at Beveridge for ages, whilst completely backing Hinkley despite him having achieved far less.

I wasn't suggesting you give them a blowie at the next Ports/Dogs game. They've probably gone through hours of footage to backup Cornes hypocrisy.

Any actions exposing Koch, Hinkley, Davies, Richardson, Rucci and Cornes as the campaigners they are should be welcomed.

Brad Ebert wasn't a fan either and that didn't mean anything as far as moving Hinkley on.

Watching now but I'm a minute in and he's called the coaching situations "similar" between Bevo and Hinkley?

Sorry but its downright offensive to compare a bloke that's made two grand finals and won a flag in less time at a smaller club to an 11-year failure like Ken.
