He walked in round 10 people do walk you saying it never happens is horseshit, what happens months after is irrelevant, of course Ken won't walk he's a king in his own mind selfish campaigner.
You just don’t get do you, Hardwick walked into a plumb job with Gold Coast most probably on better coin and better lifestyle.
You’re expecting Ken to walk away to nothing.
I’m amazed anyone would believe that scenario is even a remote possibility.

I'm not expecting him to walk away as I said in the post you dumb campaigner, you think Ken is gonna end up working at Aldi after his tenure? he'll get footy department offers galore if not straight to Geelong.

Once again Hardwick walked in round 10 you can spin it anyway you like but he walked.

KEN WONT BECAUSE HE'S AN ABSOLUTE CAMPAIGNER!!

So why did he go 15 weeks before the end of the season ? you can spin it anyway you like he walked away from Richmond.

Walked away after negotiating a payout. And he well and truly had the GC job lined up, much to Ken's dismay because he wanted that job mid 2023.

I don't care what he had lined up or not lined up he still walked away from Richmond, none of these people are leaving clubs to end up on the breadline ffs jobs for the boys galore.

He received a partial payout when he left though.

Surely the 2017 Showdown where we got destroyed and Hinkley handed a big contract 1 month later was that point?

The 2017 extension was the point I realised they didn't know what they were doing, but at the time I thought it was just well meaning incompetence. Now we know for a fact that they don't mean well. They don't care about winning a flag and they actively hate the supporters for attempting to hold them accountable.

Koch's entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest bed shit of all bed shits will never be broken.

Nerio Ferraro consigning Norwood to park football anonymity for all of eternity by chickening out and siding with the SANFL in 1990 wins here, at least Koch's mistakes are fixable.

because it was a nothing season for Richmond and he had an important job to prepare for

Watching the 1994 gf and seeing hinkley getting embarrassed in front of 90 k people is fantastic 👏
We do that regularly. But we also see him celebrating meaningless wins like he is returning for his roman triumph.

Very well organised - got the payout, had plenty of time for an extended overseas family holiday, back in time for a nice break before settling in to his new home on the GC and a bit of prep for his new and very well paid gig at the Suns.

I think you need to be careful when making sweeping statements such as the ones bolded.

They want to win a flag, but the way they handle their footy department leaves a ton to be desired and imo certainly doesn't give the Club the best chance to win a flag.

They want to win a flag, like people look at successful people in sports, business etc. They want the end result, but don't want to put in the thankless hours year on year, no one sees, to get there.

Wanting to win a flag, without doing, even the most obvious things to help get there, is a meaningless statement. It's worse actually. One of us wishing we were great at some sport / ability, but not doing anything about it, is only just us making a throwaway statement. They are getting paid excellent money to actually pursue those goals. To then treat it as a 'if it happens without having to do anything outside my comfort zone, awesome! Otherwise, well, that's disappointing, but what are you going to do?' should be instant grounds for dismissal.

Failing after trying your best is one thing, refusing to even start trying your best, because it'd hurt some people is another matter.

They want to win a flag in the same way I want to have washboard abs. I want it to happen, sure, it'd be great if that happened. But I don't have any intention of making the sacrifices and putting in the hard work needed to make it happen. So what point is there in wanting it?

Jurgen Klopp even stepped away from Liverpool and going strong, even stronger. I know Hinkley isn't the comparison to Klopp but in the clubs eyes he is. The club should use it as an example to justify getting rid of him. The club won't fall and players won't leave.

Koch has said that Kenny Hinkley deserves a flag. That highlights how little the current club admin understand what it takes to win a flag. Flags have to be won, they are not handed out as participation awards or for long service.

Ken Hinkley allegedly told people close to him (as reported by Caroline Wilson) that he was worried that his typically arrogant, unsportsmanlike behaviour towards Ginnivan would be his legacy. Does this sound like someone who'd do anything for the club to win the premiership? Pig's a*se.
It actually will be his legacy. Without a premiership to his name is there anything else noteworthy in his career that people will remember him for?
