Yeah I was. Had to rewind because I thought "Surely he didn't say what I thought he did........". He did.You must be watching the BBL too. I couldn't help myself rolling my eyes at that one

But there's the paradox. Smart enough to milk the Club for $10m plus, have the media in his pocket and Koch beholden to him.
I wouldn't mind being that kind of stupid...
Yes that's true the club is dumb enough to let it drag. That would not work at all - because all it would spark from the media is the narrative of "why haven't Port extended Ken yet?"
From Ken to Jordy. There's no succession plan
Port getting turned over to the tune of 8-10 goals against Collingwood at the G is safer than BHP shares I reckon.Would be so on brand for this regime to do nothing though going into round 1, get blasted by Collingwood with Houston BOG and then face a barrage of questioning from the media about last year's trade period along with Ken's contract and the uncertainty it provides even though it is only round 1.
There's no succession plan
We are gonna end up with a guy who has no fire in the belly and is just comfortable. I guess exactly like it is now.Carr telling Richmond he wasn’t applying because his personal circumstances demand he stay in Adelaide regardless, was so hilariously circumstantially ‘us’.
Hinkley need not worry about a knife in his back, and the club knows Josh isn’t going anywhere regardless of how things pan out.
Contrast the Cahill/Williams situation where Brisbane and Collingwood were actively sniffing around, and Essendon were definitely calling the instant Sheedy’s flirtation with returning to Punt Rd as saviour came to fruition — and Choco made it clear he was champing at the bit for a big chair.

I believe Josh applied then withdrew later. Can someone confirm?Carr telling Richmond he wasn’t applying because his personal circumstances demand he stay in Adelaide regardless, was so hilariously circumstantially ‘us’.

From what I hear they actually know full well that it's beyond time to move the heck on from this guy but they're all just so comfortable in their little good but not great kingdom that they aren't immediately motivated to actually do anything and just keep pushing it back as a matter to deal with another day. It's a club paralysed by a lack of true ambition.
