Certified Legendary Thread Sack Hinkley 13 - Another Crack At This

Learned recently that the club effectively sacked a long-time training volunteer - one of the last remnants of ‘Dad’s Army’ - telling him his services were no longer required because he “wasn’t taking it seriously enough”.

This is a man who for YEARS gave up his time to the club to attend every training session, pumping up footies beforehand, collecting & distributing them during drills, basically doing whatever was needed to make sure sessions ran in a slick fashion. Then all the donkey work afterwards as well when everyone else ****ed off.

And a right loyal bastard too who would (blindly) defend Ken, the board and the establishment to the hilt whenever the subject was brought up socially, because he couldn’t bear to see a split in the supporter base of his beloved club.

Yet they still told him his services were no longer required - then publicly advertised for volunteers the next day!

They’ll sack him but they won’t sack Ken, the biggest time-wasting, unserious loser of them all.

Talk about a club that’s completely lost its soul.

👎☹️😢

On a serious note, how the hell can Carr take over as head coach and have a load of dumb shits around him making stupid decisions, it's almost made impossible for the next guy to have any real success.

If Cardone takes over from loser Koch you may as well call us the Collingwood reserves, the magpie jumper will get thrown out with Hinkley's empty cans.

I look forward to hearing how the Club will try to deflect the obvious conflicts of interest with Carr's former manager (Snowdon) and a groomsmen at his wedding (Cassisi) being two influential people in getting Carr the top job.

I think Carr is going to be a good coach and I also think had they gone to market, he would have more than likely gotten the job if elected by an independent panel. But the way they've handled this is beyond terrible, is non transparent and clouded with a cloak of secrecy and deceit.

No one will ask.

Josh Carr aside, what is Rob Snowden still doing there?

Lol they just get around what the fans want by using these external committees that include people like Cucksissy and Snowden.

We can elect whoever, they will just put their stooges in the committees.

....

Cardone will be the next Chair after Koch ....
Conflict of interest aside Cardone has been on the board since 2012 and is well past his use by date.

I completely agree, and would suggest the same can be applied to Kevin Osborn, who at this point I legitimately don't know what he offers to the Board that others don't. Then you've also got Koch and Jamie Restas who have been there since 2012 as well.

Koch has his gaffes but is still by far and away a net positive for the club, as is Restas who I've heard is mightily impressive from a business and legal standpoint.

Cos is dangerous, and I use that word selectively because he knows sweet fück all about footy, yet has been able to position himself as someone who has a significant input on football related decisions at the Club. I fear where this thing could go from an on field standpoint if Cardone gets the top job and gives himself even more power with respect to footy decision making.

Reality is that he should be the chair of the footy committee without an actual vote when it comes to decision making.

Should be fired into the sun, never to set foot in the door at Alberton forever 😠👎

I have never called into any radio show before.

Cardone will be the next Chair after Koch, barring something unforeseen at this point.

Do I have to make another banner here? Anyone paying attention knows Cardone is our most unpopular board member for 2 key reasons. Once again they spit in the face of supporters and congratulate each other.

Everyone who has been on the board at any professional football club for more than a decade is dead wood. Basically all of them need to go within the next year or two.

If the media didn't care about the Greyhound syndicate, they won't care about this. And if they did care the club would simply threaten to cut them off and they'd go back to writing gushing stories about the club again.

How long has Cardone been on the board for now? I think that almost rules him out as well as being about as popular as a cyst on a testicle with supporters.
Have you seen how we appoint based on tenure?

The egos on our board think the best qualification is spending time in their presence.

Was it Fiacchi who ran on introducing board term limits?

To think that someone like Cardone can get hoisted by his mates into chairman, after already serving twelve years on the board is pretty crazy.

If he sits himself as chairman for the same length of time as Koch he'd have been on the board what? 24 years?!

Surely not
