Kornes declaring yesterday as a "stunning coaching performance".

So he goes over the top with how good he is when we win, but it's never his fault when we lose.

And they wonder why we're disillusioned.

He is so conflicted on so many levels that his opinion obviously doesn't count.

I’m not deathriding port like the rest of this board. We still need to be an attractive proposition for the incoming coach and any potential recruits.

Eventually when we do lose a game, that should be enough to count out finals. I which case, we would have to sack Hinkley.

If we do make finals, I’m of the view that finals experience is always a good thing.

Honestly, yesterday made me want to sack him more than any other game this year. Every other game we've looked anything from ghastly to average, no better. Yesterday we actually looked good. So you ask yourself why we've waited 3 months to see some sign of life and realise that's just how long this dickhead took to extract a solitary good performance from the group that he claimed would win the premiership pre season. Sack him.
the ball movement was good, but the swans were witches hats that refused to lay a tackle

Agree. How many of our 9 games do we need to win to make finals?

After the game, Rozee basically said that Ken had taken the brakes off at half time, letting them play to their strengths. You could tell that they were relishing their freedom and prospering from it.

Basically, they are being throttled by the coach. The coach needs to go.
Great. So that's what happens when he stops coaching. Makes sense.

Never forget Kochie,

“[Hinkley] has the best win-loss record of any Port Adelaide coach. This year was the best win-loss record since 2004. We had a shocker on Saturday night – not walking away from that – but the foundation Kenny has built, the team that he has built is applauded right throughout the industry.

I can't ever our club pre Hinkley talking this way ever. Even during the Primus years supporters were asking for his head 18 months in with a coach who had no funding or support. Williams did deliver a premiership and was gone. Yet for some reason Ken is untouchable and i am really starting to think the club money matters are not great at all and that the only reason he still employed.

No other AFL side would of had ken this long with no GF showing in ten years.

Wines basically said the exact same thing. Something along the lines of after half time the players were free to play fast attacking footy which he thinks is when the team plays its best footy.

That’s obviously not the usual as then they went straight back to trying to chip it around for 45 minutes and stopped.

Loved seeing the images of Ken in the box when they were playing that fast style. Sitting there doing absolutely nothing and letting them play instinctively. Then he gets involved again...

It's almost as though the players aren't the problem.

If the decision makers at our club are so weak that the media narrative dictates their actions then we're doomed for failure from the start.
As far a Koch is concerned;

Media praise of Kenny Hinkley = accurate critical analysis of Hinkley's coaching performance
PAFC members' criticism of Hinkley = white noise

The third quarter yesterday showed that the players are definitely not the problem and highlighted just where the problem truly lies.

iT,s tHE plAYErs FAult!!!!!!!!!!!

“Hinkley Haters”: see, this is what the team is capable of when the shackles are removed and the players are decisive and attack with dare exasperated gesticulating to footage of Todd repeatedly molesting Dane Rampe due to quick, accurate entries to his advantage

“Hinkleyphiles”: YOU’RE VERY QUIET TODAY ARENT YOU smugface

🎶it’s the ciiiiiiiiiircle of Ken

The incredible thing he seems to miss is that a game like yesterday is absolutely damning on the coaches.

Because it shows without any shadow of a doubt we have a list that should be at a minimum solidly in the 8, yet due to massively underperforming we sit as rank outsiders on 6-7.

Very different to a side like Norf for example where the cattle simply arent there and expectations must be tempered.
Sydney are over rated and we are over rated by the footy media. One of us though is trending upwards on a rebuild and we are well going nowhere.

The whole Hinkley releasing the handbrake at half time is exactly what we have been dealing with for 10 years. He coaches and philosophises about trying not to lose, instead of wanting to win

It’s plain as day. The game plan is there to mitigate the opposition first, play our game second when it should be the other way around. The fear of losing is a cartoon fart cloud around the club where the air of victory is a distant memory in the nostrils, and the players are conditioned to fear losing instead of craving a win.
