JHF news has actually made me forget that Hinkley existed. I felt happiness with Port for a moment.
Last night was the first time I've been excited to be a Port supporter since about halfway through the first quarter of last year's prelim.

Hinkley should be eyeing off the job at the AFL Brad Scott just vacated.

Lol, he's not nearly smart enough for a role like that or any role really. The AFL wouldn't hire him just like no other club would. We're condescendingly told that he's good for us whilst nobody else would go near him.

Lol look at the shitshow Essendon are and even they didn't want him!

Or Hinkley had already given both the Club and playing group his word he'd be at the Club next season and thus when encouraged to go for the position, he declined..

If Essendon weren't such a basket case and hadn't started its process quite late, I think you'd find Hinkley would have been at the forefront of the process.

All Koch had to do was say "I won't comment on possible trades it's not my area hopefully there's some good news coming" & we'd think there is a modicum of awareness and a semblance of the position he holds.

Combined with his “little club” shtick, there’s an absolute disregard for what this club actually is and means as an entity.

The insistence on making Ken Hinkley the singularity upon which everything Port hinges and does is a bigger turn-off than a particularly hairy arsėhole.

Kane and Koshie are really clinging to reasons we should keep Ken around. Saying he's basically the reason for the JHF trade call. Credit where it is due, Ken has always been popular with players. That alone isn't a reason to resign him. For the past 10 seasons he's had access to some of the best list management going around. CD & Co have gone out and got him the "missing pieces of the puzzle" time and time again. Nothing illustrates this better than Charlie Dixon. You can have a bloke with the aggro, size and willpower like him, but if you squander it or burn it with an inefficient game plan and bomb it on his head or instruct him to bring it ground, then a prelim is about as far as you'r going to get. We may go further with some of the extra pieces we manage to get this year, but even then, we will have squandered so much.
