the two aren't mutually exclusive, you can hold a sign about the coach whilst also cheering every time robbie gets the ball and giving him a send off at the end

Hinkley has backed himself into a corner, it would be hard to see him not coach out 2023 now. He's said he's a man of his word and that will be to coach port in 2023. The players have come out backing him as has Koch reluctantly so it would be a terrible look for him if he just walked out now for a better offer.

It would make us happy of course if he did walk.

Does anyone actually think Robbie will be there going * the disrepect I'm getting if he sees anything Sack Hinkley ?

At a guess, I'd say probably not.

Now apply the same statement to the 35 / 40 thousand other people there on the night : you know, the ones we want / need to support the cause after the game is over. Do you think they might consider Sack Hinkley type signage to be not appropriate for the occasion ?

What do you think the media's reaction would be and how would that (obviously negative) coverage assist the cause ?

"Sack Hinkley" or "Koch Out" etc for sure have their place 100%. But for this Saturday night, not so much.
If people can modify the signage for the special night, then I am support within the fan base (both members and non members) will be gained. Or alternatively, be more aggressive from the get go, get the sugar hit and see how that pans out.

In this fight for the club, we have to be what Hinkley is not.

Smarter.

There is a subset of supporters for whom a Sack Hinkley banner would always be beyond the pale. Then everyone else is on a sliding scale.

This isn't something that can wait. We're about to head into an offseason where it becomes much harder for the supporters to have a say on this (aside from not renewing memberships) and much easier for the club to control the narrative as we know they love to do.

I don't think we have to be overly clever here. The vast majority of supporters want a new coach. It's our job to push that dissatisfaction in the media and make it impossible for the club to ignore. Look at the Port Rd Sticker. Condemned all over the place by the club, the media mouthpieces and happy clappers, but the most pressure Hinkley and the club have ever been under publicly in relation to his continued employment.

As such, all publicity is good publicity.

I'd love to see a range of signage. The more unique messages we have against Hinkley and Koch, the more it will read as a broad supporter feeling and not a small vocal pocket of supporters reading off a hymn sheet.

I nearly went B2B in parts 4 and 5... Just pipped at the post

#sackhinkley

Didn't even make top 3 in part 6. I guess it's a tough competition and somebody has to lose

So you are going to be there holding up your banner are you? What area will you be sitting so we can keep an eye out on the telly ?

Anyone listening to SEN this morning? Clarkson seen at Adelaide airport, either yesterday or this morning ( missed that part). Kornes just flogging it off as a coincidence.
Clarkson said he’s here visiting a sick friend, his agent said yesterday he’d be coaching in Victoria next year. I’d be more worried he’s here poaching a player.

The players love Kenny though

I know you don’t have the number of posters but that list is the same 10 people, so is a generous number the same 50?
