What real impact can a new coach have mid-season?

I’m just thinking if there’s any real way of salvaging our season if we hypothetically sacked Ken today.

I get the feeling this game plan has been set up all pre-season so a new coach would be really limited in what they could turn around this year.
Not working with Hinkley right now, couldn’t get any worse. Hinkley has lost the players. Look at last week and the response this week

Waiting for tonight's press conference.
I imagine it will go something like this.

"The crows brought the heat and we couldn't go with them.
Make no mistake this is a tough competition and someone has to lose.
We will work harder for longer and strive to get better and one day we may be able to compete with the powerhouse that is the Adelaide Crows.
It's a tough industry and an even tougher game and somedays footy gives you a whack.
Well today the Crows gave us that whack.
But make no mistake we are coming, this is the best list I have had at my disposal since I arrived at Port in 1870".

If they know how to coach, probably a good impact.

Every coach would want to coach Port. There are no KPI, if you lose you still have a job for 11 years....put your feet up and enjoy your new Rolla blinds.
I heard a rumor that professors from around the world are becoming disgruntled as a new benchmark has been set for the concept of tenure in alberton SA.

Looks like the Facebook crowd has finally turned which is a small win.
To be honest I think ken had probably decided this was his last year well before the season but didn't want to give up his last paycheck before retiring. Makes it so much worse that this was always a wasted year with a lame duck coach. Only thing to hope for now is a good old fashioned media pile on to make him squirm a bit. More likely he'll get a parade on returning to Victoria for saving us and putting up with living in dirty old Adelaide for 11 years

Nope because you have the dud football department in place. We need a clean out there with a new playing philosophy otherwise this game will leave us behind and we get stuck in the bottom 4.

Has any captain ever been stood down/stepped down mid season?

Can they along with our head coach please

If Tom had any honour he would realise he has a debilitating injury after this game and spend the rest of the season on crutches, so he can be ready for the Northern Hemisphere slopes.

Note, I’m asking him to commit a fraud, not actually get injured.

Many years and millions of dollars later…

Wen flag?
lol How much of his own urine did this guy drink after getting to a prelim in 2014. A prelim that was clearly the result of having an elite fitness guy and Phil Walsh as his right hand man. This photo encapsulates so much about the Cult of Ken.
