How has this not made mainstream media?! We've known about the syndicate for a long time.

Furthermore, how can Koch speak of "good governance" whilst allowing the Club's leaders to have such a conflict of interest with respect to their work?! The levels of bullshit on this one are limitless.

As someone posted recently, there's also the horse racing syndicate he's in with lycett lol

From 2017 when he should have been sacked.

Koch sparked headlines this year on The Footy Show when he turned the heat on Hinkley, declaring the Power could not afford not to make the finals for a third-straight season. This was interpreted widely as the coach being put on notice despite his contract running until the end of 2018.

"My question to Ken was, 'What do I need to do to make you a 10-year coach? You tell me, not just in terms of resources, but your professional and personal development and the whole lot'."

"Stability between coach, president, chief executive and captain. Stability breeds success but, if you are one of those four, your character has to be one of constant learning and trying to improve. If you don't start with that, then you are not going to survive, and you won't survive in Port Adelaide.

Reminded that coaches ultimately are judged on wins and losses, Koch replied: "Yeah, but a crucial element of success is that stability and willing to constantly learn."

And then the Bogan slob refused all offers to go overseas and improve himself during the off season.

It's been in the media, just no one has cared to make a issue of it

Hmm. But he did tho didn't he, thanks to you ya wanka.

Between the first 5 games last season and the first 3 games this season, we are 1-7 and likely 1-8 after tonight.

Yep exactly where the club expected to be, the whole lot of them are losers. The players are also at fault, they come out and defend there coach then play like they want him gone, I hope it's the latter.

If they lose tonight they'll be 3-7 in their last 10 regular season games, with 2 of those wins being dead rubbers when it was impossible to make finals. So really 1-7 in their last 8 games that had implications for making finals.

Don't forget the 2 laughable pre season games

“What Ray is trying to do is grow greyhound racing and promote it as an exciting sport to be involved in,” Hinkley said.

“Ray is a big Port supporter as well and for him to give us two dogs to get the boys involved is really excitin

“Greyhound racing has been a big part of my life, and this is a fantastic opportunity for the boys to race dogs from Ray’s breed – which is obviously high class

“Having the Brownlow Medallist involved is a great thing for greyhound racing!

“The boys have always had an interest in the dogs that I’ve raced and had one or two themselves along the journey.

“We’re obviously sportspeople and we’re involved in winning and losing and racing seems to bring that same adrenalin.

“We’re always talking about connection, and this is a way for the boys to connect away from football.”

What an absolute piece of shit he is

Each year, an estimated 11,000 greyhounds are bred by the greyhound racing industry in Australia – but not all are deemed fast enough to win races. As a result, some 40% of those dogs (almost 4,500 animals) – termed by the industry as “initial wastage” – are killed.

Generally, if greyhounds new to racing don’t win or place in their first six races, they’re sentenced to an early death.

**** you ken you colossal piece of shit.
Making the community proud my arse.

Sadly, with Australia priding itself on high animal welfare standards, it is a common misconception that greyhound racing is prohibited. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. All state governments financially support greyhound racing and generally promote it as a financially viable industry that supports the economy, despite it being dependent on taxpayer-sourced funds to remain operational.2 Disturbingly, greyhound racing is also advocated as a ‘family friendly’ activity,3 introducing and desensitising the next generation to gambling and animal injuries and deaths.

Australia is just one of seven remaining countries with a legalised commercial greyhound racing industry, the others being New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Vietnam, Mexico and the United States of America.4 Heavy national and international advocacy efforts have seen the only track in China, the notorious Macau Canidrome, close permanently in 2018.5 Racetracks are also closing across the United States at a very rapid rate, with a parliamentary bill tabled which would effectively end greyhound racing nationwide.6 It is sad to see Australia falling so behind international standards.

Be keen to know how common place this type of thing is, like being involved in property developments etc… I mean we can’t be the only club can it?

PS I want him gone - just trying to add a bit of thinking to all that.

I would have zero issues if it were just the players. But there should never be a situation in which coaches and football department leaders (such as Chris Davies) are in a racing syndicate with current players. Makes it impossible for a person in power to make impartial decisions regarding players.

On another note - another goalless quarter. Par for the course.

Add another goalless first quarter to his resume.

Didn’t he say “Must win game” too?

There is absolutely no logical reason for him to remain in the job beyond tonight.

Carr as caretaker for the remainder of the season and start the hunt for a permanent replacement immediately.

Can you imagine the smugness on the campaigner if we somehow win this?
