Gresham didn't get a lot of the ball today (only had 9 disposals), but he did a lot of damage when he did get it. He kicked 2 goals and had 2 goal assists - meaning 44% of his disposals ended in a goal.
Agree. But needs to just do more basic plays. Pick it up and handball or kick.
Seems like he is only interested in making big plays.

that game was thoroughly enjoyable

finally got a full 4 qtr performance, felt it was confidence boosting

longer destroyed mcevoy in the ruck. ross's inside game is seriously coming on. koby stevens is showing why we cant afford to carry dunstan. koby was very very good. the balance just looked alot better. steele got a bit better

sinclair though, WOW we've missed him. the way he uses the ball especially inside 50 is sublime

the back 6 is seriously seriously good, if we can fix the midfield and the fwd line gets some confidence i think we can push up the ladder. just need 2 game winning elite mids and some serious growth in the ruck
Agree with all of this but wtf Longer was smashed by McEvoy

Playing Gilbert in the ruck was a big win. It made Bruce a full time forward and also it was like having an additional midfielder, he is a fierce tackler, can burst out of packs and a good mark as well. We should continue to experiment like this.

Great performance today. 4th quarter was still a bit of a drop off but you're allowed to chuck the cue in the rack when up by 10 goals.

Today was the first time i have been really excited about Acres. Didn't notice any clangers and the tackle-breaking is elite.

Clearance work was fantastic, loved Steele's game with Ross in there.

Stevens is a gun. Was best 22 for the premiers and missed the AFL flag because of injury worries.

I was wrong on the Brown/Carlisle combo. Holy shit that is going to be great for the next few years.

Webster starting to come into his own.

What odds Robbo for the BnF?

Billings is going to demolish a team this year when he starts nailing his goal kicking.

Gilbert in the ruck is the best move. How much better does Bruce go playing as a full time forward? This board called for it and Richo delivered.

No changes next week. Paddy is builing nicely. Doesnt need to come up and go goaless again. Give Minch one more and challenge Lonie, Dunstan and Savage to back it up.

Great team performance..

There is no weak link in our back 6.. fwiw i had webster as bog at half time

Said billings for 3 snags and 20 thought he was good, his work in tight has improved enormously

Steele and Stevens were fantastic.. Ross is genuine A grade status now for mine

Great return for sinc, meatball might be pushed out for paddy

Our mids were good but against absolutely rubbish opposition, o'meara may end up the worst trade in modern times.

Next week is MASSIVE, giants played their in season granny last night

Fantastic hearing Paddy is on 7 goals.

Kids got character.
I don't think we should bring him in . Ioved his game in seconds and should be in the first team but we are playing GWS. They one of the quickest sides in the game atm. Bringing in Paddy will slow us down.

Great win against a rabble.

Have to back it up next week.

Great start for Stevens.

Not sure I'd make any changes for next week. I don't like the constant calls to drop a player who has a quiet one.

Minch deserves a few games. He did more last week than Lonie has all year. Bringing in a player purely for pressure acts is as clever as the pack crash to advantage that people used to say about Kosi.

Right now I see no reason to promote either Dunstan or Lonie.

We looked very balanced today. Now for the real test...

Need to mention Jack Billings. Played very well. His fiels kicking is remarkable.
That play bumping off Frawley and hitting a leading Riewoldt was almost play of the day.
Kicked those set shots and would have been in our best 5 IMO
Convert those behinds to goals, and he's well on his way to a break out season.

If today had been 20 disposals @ 75%, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 6 I50s and 3 goals (instead of 3 behinds) and the Collingwood game had been 28 disposals, 10 marks, 6 I50s and 4 goals 1 behind (instead of the reverse)... he's so, so close to tearing games apart. Like, improving his fitness maybe 10% close.

Look he may have won 10 more hitouts but I think it is a stretch to say Billy destroyed him.

Ben ended the day with 18 touches, 2 goals and 26 hitouts.

Billy ended the day with 5 touches and 36 hitouts. He was also only on the ground for 80% That tank needs to improve. He is up against Mumford next week and will be taught a lesson if he doesnt improve.

sorry bad wording, i meant more the pure ruck side. in terms of what was happening in the center and at stoppage

around the ground though he got destroyed as you've pointed out
