The Walsh stuff is a myth. Walsh had a great personality and talked to the media like a boss, which made fans warm to him.

But he wasn't the messiah. He too was a big proponent of the gold pass culture. He had an unhealthy obsession with ground ball as if he had cracked the code. His win - loss wasn't amazing.

Pyke is the better coach by any measure. Walsh would be getting his arse handed to him with such a decimated squad. But he would be more entertaining and relatable to the average footy fan in pressers.

He changed our culture very very quickly and had a connection to the paying group without having to try and be their mates.

He would have been a successful coach for us, I have no doubt.

As much as I was naive about biased umpiring not impacting the result of a final I was also naive to think that an AFC boys club signing wouldn't derail a season, and in a premiership window.

I am usually very critical of the club, but I don't think the drafting has been an issue.

We were the stand out team over the course of the season and blew it on Grand Final day so I don't really buy into your theory about the drafting costing us a premiership.

I wanted you back here so I didn’t have to cop your texts which only started after we were losing, but much like now.

You have a couple of dynasty teams like Brisbane, Hawthorn and Geelong were, then you have those that get an opportunity and take it like The Bulldogs and Richmond. We wernt a Dynasty team, we were one who got given an opportunity and failed to take it.
Now we go back to the pack and regroup for another shot. Injuries have smashed us, and with an aging list the decision to go all in on with Gibbs will be judged harshly if we dont get a flag.

Richmond had Caddy, Houli, Nakervis, Grigg and Prestia in their grand final side and they were all from other clubs.

If you look around the league most teams would have around 5-6 guys that have come from other clubs.

I hope you're not hanging your hat on this as your smoking gun of evidence.
