Even if you didn't believe me, it's pretty evident one of us would have to be a fascist, so to outright pick him rather than someone else who would be a far safer option is damaging. He would obviously go against that and try and pick liberal to prove a point given he had been outed, so his action would mean nothing in my eyes.

Yes him picking a lib card was the most likely outcome (and provides no information to us), but it still enacts one of our policies which helps us. If he chooses a fascist card, then it confirms to the playing group that he's bad and you're good which also helps us.

An alternative is if I picked a random player that was a fascist that did not need to pick a lib card for self-preservation. Then we get a fascist policy with nothing learned as that player just claims they were given two fascist cards.
