Burgiel and Longs probably annoy me the most out of everyone.

Longs was totally random, wasn't announced, happened to have some 'awareness' at training and now has disappeared. Painful for my SC.

Burgiel was the only shining light in the WAFL early, then missed with a hammy, then played another game or two from memory, now he's dead with a hammy again??? Wat.

Was TBC…. I thought it was Tom Barrass Concussion. Did think when looking at the injury list that the poor bugger must be getting a lot of hits to the head.

TBC = visited the Lathlain Mystery Spot

Seems a little strange that Shuey didn't fly over for Captain's Day because planes = bad if you're injured/prone to injury, yet he's flying over today while injured

Excuse Me What GIF by Bounce

Yes and no

A big part of the reason he didn’t go to captains day was due to the club having what they regarded as an important intraclub the following day. It was particularly important for Shuey as he wanted to prove his fitness ahead of round 1. With that in mind it was considered travelling the day prior to be an unnecessary risk/complication

At the moment, he’s still a few weeks away from playing so it’s unlikely to compromise his rehab and his leadership around the group would be handy - particularly given reports that he gave the midfield group a bit of a spray after the Carlton game

Where did that little tidbit about the spray come from?

Can’t remember where I heard about it earlier in the week but Witherden was asked about it by Goosage this morning thinking it was to the whole group - Witherden didn’t say much other than to say Shuey didn’t address the whole group but did speak to the mids

Cheers, actually just heard that as I'm listening to it now.

Heard an interview with Shuey about his ankle injury saying he didn’t get any medical advice and just got a jab and went back on. This made the injury worse. Now he’s traveling to Melbourne while recovering. Sometimes I wonder if captaincy is getting in the way of him getting his body right.

Shuey's problem is he is self sacrificing and feels he has to do everything to stay on field. This is leading to him pushing himself too hard, getting injured and not being able to help the team at all. His motivation is pure but the results are the worst thing for the team. He's tracking to be our worst captain of all time.

“He's tracking to be our worst captain of all time.”

Disrespectful.

Why is Chesser the traveling emergency this week? Surely it would be better to give him some development in the WAFL as he transitions back from injury?

Because he’s probably not really ready to play (he was listed as 1 week from a return in the injury report this week) and the expectation is he won’t be required to and if so only as the sub

How familiar are you with our captains, going through history?

How do you think Shuey compares with Murray Rance, for example?

Bit rich the club expecting he won't have to play considering our season so far, probably lose two in the warm-ups and have to line Chesser up at full forward
