As alluded to in the AFL article WCE_phil posted it was a pretty light run today
Of the 23 who played against Carlton, SPS and Bazzo were unsighted whilst Hurn, Rotham, Allen, Darling, LEdwards and Duggan did light duties only. The rest went through a few low intensity fundamentals after a few warm up laps
Of the currently injured players HEdwards, JWilliams and Sheed also did the full session. Maybe because it’s been a while since I’ve seen him but Sheed looks in about as good as physical condition as I’ve seen him
Naitanui made an appearance walking laps with the five guys who played WAFL yesterday and generally just hung around without doing anything of note. Chesser was also out on the oval ambling around and kicking a footy to anyone who put their hand up - didn’t look troubled in his movements albeit he never went past a light jog and no sudden changes of direction
All in all not much to see other than an increase in numbers from the corresponding session last week
That was until the session ended and the players split into line groups. Each group was addressed by one of the assistant coaches (Knights, Schofield and Pratt as best I could make out) for at least 5 minutes. Then the groups rotated so that each group was addressed by each assistant with all discussions going for 5+ minutes
It was too far away to make out what was being said but it looked like reinforcing the way the coaches expected things to be done. No ranting just a measured explanation
I might be reading more into it than it actually was but it’s something I’ve not seen before
He didn’t
Don’t think there’s much to read into that one way or another - most of the rehab guys weren’t out there
Pretty sure you can even bring someone back from the LTI list later as long as someone else is out for the season to replace them, which is surely a dead certainty by r21.Surely Cripps is season ending so we can get a Mid season pick?

McGovern 7-8 weeks away, no one ruled out for the season yet but that might (and hopefully will absolutely) be reassessed before the May 31 deadline.
Long is a worry. Was supposed to be a minor hammy which is 2-3 weeks. Looks like it will end up being 6-7weeks.View attachment 1676288
I suppose after whinging about all the TBCs and saying I wouldn’t expect return dates to be set in stone, I just wanted some indication, I probably can’t complain when they don’t seem to be moving.
But a lot of those don’t seem to be moving.

Long as far I understood has recovered it's just conditioning now. Same with Burgiel.Yeah he was the main one I picked up. Don’t think Shuey or Yeo have improved either.

He's our best player. So makes sense when we are trying to get pick 1.Long is a worry. Was supposed to be a minor hammy which is 2-3 weeks. Looks like it will end up being 6-7weeks.
Provided they’re being super conservative with the likes of Long, Burgiel, Hewett etc and making sure those players are fully recovered before sending them back out I’m ok with them taking an extra week or two
Last thing we want is players brought back prematurely, especially the younger ones
Or Cole.Surely Cripps is season ending so we can get a Mid season pick?
