Announcement: Swans YouTube Channel
So thanks to the awesome Kennedy Parker you will notice a sticky post at the top of the pages now. This link will take you directly to the Swans YouTube channel which features interviews etc.

SEN interview with Ladhams manager.

Nothing like a little bit of retrospect history. Ladhams and team approached the Bulldogs as well.

Manager seems pretty reasonable and not to egotistical. Whately? Oh dear.

And that's a fair call out on an issue which has been bubbling along in the background for a while now. It needs to be tweaked.

Article says the Swans players are pissed off at Dawson!!
Looking forward to playing / smashing the crows and Dawson next year

Now just Foxfooty's opinion but we got the lowest score of any team.

Hawthorn went in with a clear strategy of moving on older players for draft picks and they failed.(Fox Rating C)
Gold Coast are lauded for trading picks out for 2021 and into next year. They didn't have much choice because they cocked up their list and had too many players under contract for 2022. (rated B+)
GWS trade out Finlayson and that's their only move and get a B.
To quote Jon Ralph on St Kilda "They literally did nothing" (Dunstan left) and got rated B.

Sydney got a first rd pick for an out of contract player, with the threat of the PSD hanging over our head.

And dropped down 4 spots in the first round in an open draft and gave up a 3rd rounder for a player who hopefully can hold down the ruck position for a number of years (and can play fwd if necessary in the interim).

And decided that Hewett wasn't part of the future and a got a late 2nd round compo pick.

Losing Dawson hurts, but I think the list management team did their job well and certainly more deserving than a C-.
Beatson had better hope his salary isn't indexed to the Foxfooty ratings, then.

Here is Fox sports 2020 assessment...it's exactly the same rating:tongueoutv1:

3 imbeciles in the Murdoch rag this morning giving ratings. Didn't bother with the 2 page spread written by people by the names of Al Paton, Dan Batten and Jordan Pinto WTF do they find these try hards . Just had a look , they had to mention the academy !

This is the article you're referring to I'd imagine.

AFL Draft revisited 2016-2020

Sydney’s goldmine continues to deliver. Campbell and Gulden joined a long line of credentialed Swans Academy graduates, including Blakey, who found his niche as a dashing half-back. The Swans’ exciting youngsters were a significant reason for their rise in 2021, with the aforementioned group along with the likes of McCartin, Warner, McInerney and Wicks stepping up to become senior regulars. Next season is an important one for top-five choice Stephens and Gould, the latter a renowned figure in KFC SuperCoach folklore. McDonald may be the best of the lot and is the heir apparent to Lance Franklin’s throne.

Rating: B+
