I understand the reasons it's being discussed but the idea of a best of 3 is awful to me.

Works in the NBA and MLB where games can be played every couple of days or Origin where it happens in the course of the season it makes sense.

For mine, footy is like the Superbowl. It's a spectacle and you need to show up on the day. The 2014/22 results were thoroughly deserved for each team given the way they prepared and performed.

The beauty of grand final day is it’s a one chance deal in front of 100,000 people. The pressure is immense and victory (or defeat) is more intense because of that very reason.

The final venue should definitely be flexible, however.

I'd almost argue it's unfair on the poor schlubs who have to fork out nearly five hundred bucks for a ticket to that one game, to then have to do the same thing again another two times

It'd be in different states so in theory would have different crowds, but would suck for people buying tickets for Game 3 which is either the all important game decider or a dead rubber.

I agree but the super bowl is moved around, and that's the problem here really. Best of 3 stinks, but the grand final being in a set spot as it currently is , is unfair
