Kellie Chunderwoods first comment at the break was ‘Isaac Heeney may be in trouble with a swinging arm and clenched fist collecting Webster in the face’

It was in fact, the back of his hand.
She needs to be sacked also. I can’t stand her and her grating voice

We are well run so no doubt Cox knows where he will be best suited.
Instant talented team for 5 years or rebuilding team starting next season.
If he chooses home then so be it.

Re-Cox - Family will drive this. If he has kids of 10 or over, he may well decide they can deal with 5 years in Sydney.

If they’re younger, grandparents come into play.

Eagles will be able to make it financially attractive that's for sure. Its a great opportunity for him but far out the press and the pressure on the job is next level compared to Sydney.

Cox to coach the eagles imo
Great way to destroy the longevity of your career I would imagine. wCE aren’t doing anything in the next 5 years with their list make up. By that stage Cox will have been slandered by the local media as incapable and unemployable.

Other than location preference there's only one answer if it is in regards to coaching success. Sample size shows coaches appointed as succession into a well run club tend to find themselves there long term with consistent results and multiple grand final appearances. And a solid reputation to boot.

Rarely does a rebuild coach survive, even if they do a half decent job. Hardwick and Clarko have been the only exceptions to that rule of recent, but even they were lucky to survive after reaching multiple tipping points. Sacked rebuild coaches also tend to have their reputation lowered, most the time unfairly, and mostly leads to a career of remaining an assistant line coach or a brief appearance as coach at another club. WC is in as deep a hole as you can get, worse than what North were at the time of bottoming out, and with Tasmania on the horizon their rebuild is going to be the slowest burn of all time imo.

Cox is literally the best placed assistant coach in the land at the swans and needs to reflect on how fortuitous he is to be staring at a potential coaching legacy.

Cox and Heeney story about half way through

Really happy to have that brought to light. Shows how much better run our club is than the entire AFL.

Literally called out the stupidity of the change for this exact reason, highlighting the complete lack of foresight from the AFL on almost every issue in the sport.

How hard was the "strike" any way? Sure, it caused a bleeding nose but the nose is very vascular and can bleed even from an accidental glancing blow, which clearly this is.

Not holding out any hope Heeney gets off. AFL has been known to double down on its stupidity. But I'm glad the club is doing this, if for nothing else, to show support to its players.
