What's weird is that I can see the image as I'm typing this reply, but not after I've posted the reply o_O

It shows up in the draft version then disappears when posted. Bizarre.

When an extra 10,000 people flood through the gates, and you see none of the benefit but all of the cost of those people, something is wrong.

When 50,000 people buy food and drink from the stadium and you see none of the money, but you have to pay for the clean up afterward, something is wrong

When 50,000 people add economic benefit to the city, but you have to pay for the closure of roads when they arrive and leave, something is wrong.

When there is a disincentive to have large crowds because it results in less money, something is wrong.

I have no doubt that some of the things, like the pyrotechnics and the free t-shirts, are beyond the scope of what the club can actually afford at this stage. But you know what? You have to spend money to make money, and it's clear that our game day experience shits all over the Crows and their crap. Which means it's money well spent.

There are certain things too that are extraordinary expenses, such as the license buy back. But if Cornes wants to talk about wasting money, how about the SANFL advertising their lame competition on the radio and on the back of buses? No one cares, and if they do, they are already going to games.

An excellent summary of what is really wrong with the contract. Please post it on the main board thread so the interstate posters and the Crows sycophants can see it.

Too much is being made of our faults, which are gradually being reduced, and not about the problems we are facing such as the above.

It is also of some concern that it is being promulgated, including by wrinkles in his article, that we signed up at the start of the season and that is the end of it. But we only signed up till the review.

Contrived or not Rucci and Cornes have taken their positions and are hammering away at each other on AA.

I'm not listening today. I expect the lap-dog Dillon will side with old scrotum face and Rooch will get howled down. Might be better tomorrow morning - Rooch can at least have conversation with Leaf Forest.

It's funny because any club could've bid for him but only 3 clubs did, he doesn't think he'll make it anyway & he thinks it's all for hype & marketing rather than substance.

I wonder if Kane ever sits him down & asks him why he gets so worked up & opinionated over petty issues that don't concern him or the club he's an ambassador of.

Grumpy trying to say that getting Johann Wagner from the recruit is 'a form of draft tampering' :drunk:

He won't let that shit go after Brett Chalmers wrote to clubs telling them not to draft him so he could go to the Crows - actual draft tampering - so he brings up everything from us paying Tredrea, Wilson and Burgoyne as Port players as usual and now Yoey as shenanigans, while ignoring the SANFL Player Retention Scheme of the 80's that allowed the Crows the best possible start in life.

Another 5-7 years and he'll enter that doddering phase of life where everything he says is immediately ignored by everyone.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

Lol. Just caught Graham on AA. He finally realized we don't get a clean stadium due to the SMA memberships (whatever they are called).

"That's not right" Graham Cornes

Perhaps you should have researched BEFORE writing the column lol

That "column" looked like something he penned 2 and a half decades ago and has been sitting in his bottom draw ever since. Just change a few dates, people's names etc and presto, a column.

As a young lad I remember having a carton of pura milk in the fridge that was so far past it's expiry date it had turned solid. It was not even close to being as past it's expiry date as that old campaigner.

You didn't include my favourite part.

We have to pay over the odds to clean their mess overnight so that they have a clean stadium just in case they might be holding a function from which we don't make one red cent out of.

This is the imbecile who thinks Stephen Dank is a misunderstood genuis. Research isn't a G Cornes strength.

Next time that happens add it to 20l of water and water the garden and lawn they will love it :) Lactobacillus is a facultative anaerobe which aids in thatch breakdown and mineralisation in soils, helps build organic carbon which will assist when it gets hot as dogs balls and you have water restrictions. As apposed to Graham Cornes who is a facultative anaerobic virus. LOL that's your gardening tip for the year :D

Research. Ha ha. Graham works for the Advertiser and the Advertiser cater for the general population, who lets face it, are idiots and don't demand quality journalism. Make no mistake, the only difference between one of us writing an Advertiser article and their part-time columnists, is that we aren’t d-grade celebrities. Many of these writers are biased and unread on the topics they write about, BUT that’s ok, because they have good ‘shock value’. No research or factual integrity required.

I remember reading one of Graham’s anti-port articles. He tried to set the port-hating tone early, by saying it was strange that ‘greed’ wasn’t one of the deadly sins. Yes it is, dip shit. And again today, he exposes his lack of understanding in the SMA dealings. How the hell are we supposed to take Graham seriously when he discredits himself so easily and can’t get the basics right? As a few people have said here, his bigoted views are more amusing than offensive.

He's an oxygen thief, writing inflammatory statements to generate oxygen for his diatribe.

And if he's referencing 1990 AGAIN, it must mean that this week we are Port Adelaide Power, est 1870

I tweeted wrinkles ...

'1990 again ... build a bridge ... also how can treachery of 1990 be relevant to AFL ... aren't we 'port power est 1996?' #confused

Edit: as of Nov17 no reply ... :)
