All I want to know is how big the melts would be if we try poach the little crafty prick Switkowski come end of year? cough homesickness... cough re-unite with Cerra and Blacres... cough
That's " Champion Data elite small forward" Switkowski and I would be crushed. Man's such a gun and changes games when thrown on-ball in spurts.

Walters at his advanced age is still better than all our small forwards combined. Would love him for 1-2 years.

Gun. Proof that class never fades away. Hope his body holds up since he's a proven big game player too

Baffling that JL isn’t playing him or Amiss. Probably the two on their list most likely to kick a bag in any given game.

Walters coming off an achilles late pre-season so being eased back in and Treacy had the better summer out of Amiss and himself, so got first crack. That said neither are getting a decent run with the diabolical entries inside 50 and glacial ball movement from the first two rounds...

Your a decent poster.... But I can see why you got reported and suspended. No I didn't do you in
ha ha.. As if reported and suspended for saying what I would jokingly give for Serong for your rebuild.
Nah, I know it was not you.
Last weekend whilst turn on Kayo to see a bit of Swans v Hawks, I am like WTF are these weird silly version of Hawks jumper I am seeing. So I quickly decide to ask the question on gameday thread here to see if anyone knew, but I did not notice the gameday thread I asked it in was Hawks board ratther than main forum so some silly duffer that was a mod there was to quick on his trigger finger and just assumes trolling.....

P.S. Future 1st rounder for Serong now. Feeling generous ;)

Serong is tough, wins his own pill, but is putrid by foot in open play

I would split his time forward and midfield

You have no issues getting dockers better players on the cheap dont you? LoL

You can't touch Caleb Serong or Hayden Young until 2027. They are free agents by then as they were from the 2019 draft.

Hoping Freo wins a flag by 2027.

You must have missed all of those i50s today then.

Not interested in Serong, Young on the other hand

Inside 50s an indication of his kicking efficiency?

Yes his possession is a work in progress
He’s only 22 you can’t be perfect there’s only a few in the league putting up his numbers with better efficiency and they’re not 22

Wasn't a dig on Serong as a total package, I think for team balance it would be better served to split his time forward/mid

Think JOM, Brayshaw, Aish, Switkowski would be more effective

Said it last year and I still stand by it today. Brayshaw and Serong are not damaging users of the football. For all their good work in tight and defensive running they simply don't cause any fear with ball in hand. In 1 game in the middle you could see how much more effective Switkowski was in creating opportunities with the ball.

They need Erasmus to come on if what I've heard is true in that he's more the impact mid/fwd type.

3 games isn't enough to get a decent read on either side, but I feel like maybe Freo have disrupted the balance of the team.
Not sure that Jackson or JOM were real needs for them. Maybe they just need time to settle and find their roles.
I expected them to be 3-0 to be honest, but plenty of time to turn things around.

or ldu who looks a beast
Really miss Freo supporters fist pumping Cerra over LDU.

Vanilla mids, shiteshow fwd line & fattest ruckman actually playing (if I said this was Carlton, I'd have as much credibility as a Walters duck).

Can’t wait for Freo’s annual whingefest that the nasty Paddy Cripps is too rough and dirty for them!

Yep and we just lost the Derby…….

Would the fattest ruckman currently playing be the same one that absolutely dominated the Eagles rucks in the last game?
Also, I'm yet to hear anyone say a bad word about Cripps. The guy is a champion of the game and a West Aussie. We should be celebrating him.

I have read some interesting takes by you Arrow over the last few years on here.
Your assessment of Serong being putrid by foot is perhaps the strangest yet. Outside of Hayden Young, Serong is our best user by foot.

Firstly, l admire how hard he is at the contest, winning his own ball, but unfortunately, not even the stats backup him being a good user by foot.

I think he should split his time forward, as he is still dangerous around goal

Games this year KE%

Career, every year below 60% by foot

Young is a beautiful kick

You wot mate? His disposal efficiency was 72% last year and he's going at 67% this year.

You mean dominated a 29 game 2nd choice ruckman in Williams and Waterman a first time 2nd ruck. Hardly impressive.

You can only beat who gets put in front of you. It’s not Darcy’s fault that the Eagles have a man too ‘robust’ to support his own weight as their first choice ruckman.

I think people underestimated the losses of Mundy, Lobb, Acres, Logue and Tucker who were all in Freo's best 22 last year. That's a lot of talent lost and hindsight will probably show 2022 was their one shot at a flag from this rebuild with Longmuir as coach.

Also I'm not sure why Fremantle struggle to retain players while West Coast tend to have no trouble retaining required players. It's been similar in SA for years with Crows struggling to retain players while Port have had no trouble retaining their required players. The only player of note to leave Port in recent times is Wingard and he was forced out of the club.

Dunno either but I'll happily take Switkowski or Young down at the Blues if they decide another exodus is due.
