Your best bet might be to search for our "Crows in the SANFL" threads, which appear each week.Hi Guys just wondering if anyone can give me updates on how Big IVAN has been travelling in the 2s the last couple of weeks

From memory he's been doing OK. Since recovering from his early season total form/confidence collapse he's returned to the Maric of old. The only reason he's not in the senior team right now is "balance" - the sub rule has effectively done away with the 2nd ruck and with Jacobs & Tippett in the side there's just no room for Maric. He hasn't done anything wrong, there's just no room for him in the senior team.
Vickery yes, Graham no way, that bloke is useless. Cant kick to save himself and isnt the best tap ruckmenMaric is behind Jacobs and Tippett. At Richmond, I'd think he'd be behind Graham and Vickery.
He can (and does occasionally) go forward, but I wouldn't describe him as being particularly mobile.
Has everyone forgotten about his "sell the candy shimmy" against the Cats? Haha. He's a bit undersized (<200cm), but has a remarkably good record of hitouts to advantage.

He doesn't win a huge number of hitouts, but a (relatively) high proportion of those he does win are directed towards his teammates. In this sense, he's almost the anti-Jacobs. Jacobs wins a mountain of hitouts, but seems to be colourblind - in that 70% of his hitouts are palmed directly onto the chest of an opposition player. While we're on the subject of a ruckman's true worth, though Jacobs has huge potential and wins heaps of taps how many are actually to the team's advantage????
I've watched him closely and far too many of his winning taps are straight down the throat of the opposition, when it comes to actual taps to the teams advantage Ivan would come out on top if compared to Sauce IMO. I believe we must keep Ivan if it is at all possible, far more valuable to the AFC than we could get in compensation if he was to go elsewhere!!!

One thing you'll love about Maric is his heart. He gives his all, every single time. He may not be the most talented footballer out there, but you'll go a long way to find one with a bigger heart.
My quote of the night... Thanks Dusty Cotch for displaying your stupidity...
"3.We need to make the Sooky Dibber Dobbers pay with the Maric deal.Is he contracted ?
If not let's force him into the pre season draft so they get jack for him. They would already be filthy knowing we stitched them up over the Tambling trade."
jacobs taps to advantage are 14% of the ruck contests he has participated in and he wins 36% OF THE TAPSI don't think Jacobs' hitouts-to-advantage is that bad. It's not great, but it's not diabolical. It just isn't as good as the other aspects of his game.
