Butler is a valuable player who plays an important role. Baker can't do the same job. "Lets not talk him up as some gun which he is not" is sophistry.

i think everyone is underrating George and Butts, they kick goals and the pressure they bring in our forward 50 is what has made us a premiership side.

Rioli, George and Butler were what we based our premiership side around.

To trade any of those would be just dumb.

All 3 bring something different to the fwd line but all have 1 thing in common. Their defensive side is elite. They chase like dogs.

They're not as easily replaced as some suggest.

Also all 3 in our best 22 in the #1 side in the Comp atm, hard to see why they would want to leave for a start...

Baker just needs a big preseason this year and could play the role IMO. Already playing better VFL footy than either of the other 2 were in 2017.

I'd only consider trading george or buts if Baker pushed them out of the 22, this hasn't happened yet

Been hearing at work that Sam Murray from Collingwood has either requested a trade or is up for trade.

Personally, he is a poor mans Adam Saad so I wouldn’t be interested.
Hasn’t been there long so it’s a curious situation.

For the tiges or in their careers? I say yes to both in any case. Can’t seem them being traded unless they want out.

And not even close to happening. Butler and George have their flaws but are both lightning quick, run all day, pressure and tackle, and are capable of kicking bags.

They also make each other better.
