Returning after a decade to ask for Seb Ross has got to sit in the BigFooty hall of fame
So are we going to field a team full of kids? Will be a very long season otherwise. Not saying he is the answer or anything but surely we need to think about replacing experience we are losing?

Lynch
Hopper
Taranto
Valstuin
Broad
Nank

That’s enough, if it isn’t getting some spud won’t help.

Get the kids, import the experienced players later as FA

Would only take the experience as free agents! Whether it be delisted etc. I’m not saying give up picks or anything but just feel with what we have lost this year in experience with players retiring we will look very very young

I keep seeing this, Norf would never do that, maybe for 6 & 11. Back in Dusty's draft we rejected swans 6 & 14 offer (rightly so bloody Gary Rohan and Lewis jetta).
North dont want to slide past 6-7
but want an extra pick , There are not many / any clubs that can offer a pick below 7 and the extra pick

would only happen on draft day anyway if it was to happen at all

Reckon we should pick up Nathan Freeman finally

I shouldn't read twitter at 1:30 in the morning. I just read a Pies supporter try and claim that Noble being best 23 and starting regularly should offset the BnF's that Rioli has won or placed in.
Therefore Nobles value should be pick 13 if Rioli's is pick 6...

Been a rough past couple of days.

If we wore worried about experience we would hold Bolton and Rioli to contracts. We struggled with youth last time but eventually they all came good. It's the experience left that I'm worried about Broad worst season getting old Kmac Kozzi and a couple others are a real worry not kids.

Kmac is a very experienced and good player for us. Kosi is a dud.

It's a strong argument.

After watching about 5 Lalor videos tonight. I can see why he is compared to Dusty, bloke is a bull, but also classy. Really confident he won’t be a bust just by how hard at the contest he is
He”ll look good sitting in the stands each week with his paper thin hammies. Would be madness to take him at 1.

been thinking about this and obviously thought someone would bring this up. I don’t think anyone has had their career cut short because of hamstrings. Stephen Silvagni snapped his hamstring off the bone and he was in his early 30’s and still Come back. These days with modern techniques and understanding of how to deal with hamstring issues isn’t a concern for any club. Lalor in a professional environment will be ok

Why's that?

From all reports it's a cheaper alternative and allows us to get the original agreed value for Baker.

North are clear that they'll only trade 2 back as far as 6 so will want our 6 and then presumably something in the teens (based on previous trades for pick 2/3).

Assuming worst case we get 10,18 for Bolton and 6,23 for Rioli, then:

Pick 2 is costing us 6 & 10 (or 18 at best)

Pick 3 is costing us 10, Baker & probably 24.

1,3,6,18,20,23 > 1,2,10/18,20,23,24

Because Richmond want Sam Lalor and Finn O’Sullivan they get three then you have a few clubs who will swoop in for him or for Lalor

God we are getting desperate .... pick No.20 is worth 912 points, while No.32,42,43 and 45 are worth a combined 1704 points .... The Lions bent us over with this trade

Would it make you feel better if it was 20 for 32 and 42?

Points don’t mean that much.
The value of the player available at 20 is going to be higher than what the other junk is worth
