Bolton is:
  • 2x premiership player
  • 2022 All Australian
  • 2021 Mark of the year winner
  • Top 5 in B&F every year since 2020
  • 4th in AFL for total score involvements in 2022 (7.48 average)
  • 10th in AFL for total score involvements in 2023 (7.00 average)
  • A match winner, can play in midfield and forward, so agile and crafty, people in the media talk about him as a match winner
  • Contracted

Pick 9 & 10 is a base, arguably our best and most talented player after Dusty. If Freo don't give us 9 & 10 or they turn it into pick 3 we're keeping Shai.
This club has no guts if we give him up for 9 and 16.

Totally yes….….and Freo desperately need a quality player like Shai

Had Freo had Shai in their lineup over the season ….their season would have ended differently (positively)…reckon with Shai, dockers would have played finals

Freo know Bolton is the missing link in their line up…a game breaker…a game changer…makes things happen…these players don’t grow on trees

He also puts bums on seats

Shai is definitely worth x2 high picks…

Collingwood have offered Noble and a F1 for Pick 12 and a late pick or pick swap. I think that deal is ideal for GC and the way they are thinking.
Called it:

I think it's more likely GC say to Collingwood, you want pick 12 for Noble? We'll give you pick 12 for Noble - and your future first. And I could see Collingwood going for it, with one of GC's 30s picks going back to them.

Adelaide have done very well to get Cummings and Peatling. Very good depth.

I’ll say this about Pick 12 from GC.

They want to trade this into next years draft.

We should aim for Pick 6 and Pick 20. Pick 12 is not able to be obtained for us.

We get 6, 20 and 26 if 12 is not available and maybe swing back a 3rd. Then we hunt down 28 from Essendon and potentially incorporate Fremantles pick 27 into the trade for Bolton.

26, 27, 28 & 29 to Brisbane for this years first and next years first, or we keep those picks and use or trade them.

Teams like Brisbane, Gold Coast, GWS and Sydney will be very reluctant to trade first round picks next year. Or any future years such is the academy system.

That could be 18 (24ish with bids) & 18 (24ish with bids) in a weaker draft for 4 picks in the early to mid 30's in a strong draft.

Brisbane would love it and we'd be absolutely crazy to do that.

Disappointed World Cup GIF by Goldmaster

flipping madness, thank god you're not trading for RFC.
Let's be honest hes probably not going to play more than 30 more games for the club. Probably 20.

My understanding is that the players rated at the 30 mark this year would go late 1st round practically every other year. Ive heard next years draft isnt looking anywhere near as promising. This year's picks in the top 35 need a premium when factoring any trades. Those picks you mention 26, 27, 28, 29 will for sure have sliders that some teams are desperate to have and if a team sees a kid still available at 29 who they rated at 15ish and if they're in the window that's how we get their next years 1st rounder

Are you trolling?

We have Lefau… fresh off an ACL rupture, his 2nd. Even if he had good knees, he is not the no.1 forward. The key Defenders are just too big/strong for him, he’s more of a big bodied medium tall that leads at the ball.

Our youngsters need senior players to help them develop. Make sure they are doing all the things outside of the footy club to be a professional athlete. Lynch is a standard setter in the gym and training. You take him away and then the standards drop, then the young kids start to slack off and their development gets hindered.

Having players like Lynch, Prestia, Broad, Vlastuin and Nank take the pressure off the young players and also the coach. There’s veterans for each line. Almost like an onfield coach for the young players.
Exactly - Lynch is a no.1 forward. All the others are no.3, perhaps no.2 at best. They need that leader to provide the structure, the intelligence etc - even if he's injured for half the season, he still provides that leadership.

no they do not.

That is what coaches are for and what about our new arrivals?

Lynch is a Richmond man but our team is running to a different beat to where Lynch is tracking for at least the next few years.

If Lynch wins a few premierships or not at the Lions and Lions say you have done what we need you to do, he can come back to RFC for a year or two if warranted, I have no problem being flexible, I am trying to help RFC rebuild and propell to many more premierships in the future.

One thing David King has got right s the biggest problem a club can do is get caught up in hype and not know where your at to make the best decisions for the team, players and fans and future as was well as present
