That is so sad.
Meanwhile over in Europe football fans are treated to this by their cheer squads.
I really wish we adopted some of this here

Magnificent.... would only work if we segregated crowds.... until then enjoy "Richmond clap clap clap".....

Which small forwards do we have praytell

Well, Bolton and Stack are small forwards and Stack can be a small back to.

What will happen is Castagna will be replaced by Dusty.

Dusty will do a KB, and kick 50 plus goals until he is 40 and father time kicks in by then because despite Dusty's greatness eventually everybody loses to father time, Dusty in the middle will be replaced by a younger more effective mid as Dusty ages.

We are talking about winning premierships, so an aging Dusty in the forward line still kicking 50 plus goals is more effective than younger substitutes and younger effective talent is spread out in other areas we are more deficient in

Here we go again dusty can do everything he can’t he needs help We need to surround him with players tanks

I have watched plenty of Hill. He is 21, a talented player tracking really well, ready to go and would definitely be best 22 for us day one imo. You are comparing that with players taken at 17 in the National Draft.

Here is the list of pick 17’s up until 2015:

2015 – Tom Doedee (Adelaide)
2014 – Kyle Langford (Essendon)
2013 – Michael Apeness (Fremantle)
2012 – Josh Simpson (Fremantle)
2011 – Clay Smith (Western Bulldogs)
2010 – Shaun Atley (North Melbourne)
2009 – Daniel Menzel (Geelong)
2008 – Sam Blease (Melbourne)
2007 – Harry Taylor (Geelong)
2006 – Shaun Hampson (Carlton)
2005 – Darren Pfeiffer (Adelaide)
2004 – Andrew McQualter (St Kilda)
2003 – Billy Morrison (Collingwood)
2002 – Cameron Faulkner (Western Bulldogs)
2001 – James Kelly (Geelong)
2000 – James Davies (Essendon)
1999 – Ezra Bray (Geelong)
1998 – Peter Street (Geelong)
1997 – Lance Picioane (Adelaide)
1996 – Rowan Warfe (Sydney)
1995 – Scott Welsh (North Melbourne)
1994 – Carl Steinfort (Geelong)
1993 – Angelo Lekkas (Hawthorn)
1992 – Kym Koster (Western Bulldogs)
1991 – Anthony Cole (Sydney Swans)
1990 – Brendan Hehir (Geelong)
1989 – Gilbert McAdam (St Kilda)
1988 – Brad Edwards (Fitzroy)
1987 – Chris Waterson (Fitzroy)
1986 – Trent Nichols (Richmond)

Since then add:

Jarrod Berry, Jack Higgins, Sam Sturt, Brodie Kemp, Lachie Jones.

So it is not a random rd 1 pick in consideration it is the 17th pick at this draft. We would no doubt have our eye on a player with that pick and it would be a matter of weighing the expected value of that player against Hill with 3 years development. 21yo Hill or a random pick 17 off the above list? I’d marginally come down in favour of Hill, so you can farrrrk off. 😂
I’m comparing him to George at same age , rookie list pick and he’s behind his Progress on every kpi other than bs

Balta can be effective in a few different areas I think so we can have better players in and move him around elsewhere to make our team better because he is so good and versatile
So, what you're saying is play Balta forward ?

Did you not read my other reply to you? Hill is better than both Castagna and Aarts. Pressure on spots was a key pillar to our success.
Is he better than those too , on what basis , bluster or balls and all performance , list them for us. He averages 9p a rudddy game and 0.8 goals and you’re carrying on likes he’s eddie Betts , spare me

I really like your posting but this one has me scratching my head. I could hear the concerns from up here in Qld - Yarran was doing stuff, drinking, unstable etc. If we could hear it up here, why not down there. The Yarran deal reeked trouble from the outset - somehow, somewhere, someone dropped the ball - free kick Carlton - and didn't they give it to us!
I definitely don't remember anything regarding his mental health pre-draft PA? Maybe a bit of "he's a bit lazy" or "he doesn't work hard enough" if we're talking negatives, but there was nothing on these boards about his booze and mental health. And this place is pretty thorough, if nothing else - if it's floating around anywhere, you can bet BigFooty will turn it up in some form. Even this "Welcome to Richmond" thread mentions nothing of it, at least in the first dozen or so pages I flicked through. And there was nothing on PRE or any of the Carlton or Rumours sites either.

Chris Yarran - Welcome!

No doubt that the actual Carlton FC pulled a swifty on us though. Campaigners.

Anyway, all's well that ends well, my Tiger friend.

Really probably not the right place to discuss it but I really hope we leave Stack in the back half. I know he can switch forward but he plays so much more confidently and assuredly off half back.

Jeez we overrate oppo players. Hill has done nothing. If he was a tiger player we’d be open to trading him for a packet of twisties.
When we play giants I look at players that can beat us. That includes their gun mids, Taylor, Haynes down back and Toby up forward. Hill is not top 15 players that worry me. Leave him for the cats or bombers or Roos.
Tell me about it , like 2yo arguing over matchbox cars in the sandpit , only they make more sense

Stack has huge potential don't get me wrong, but the way most on here are talking, it's like he is the next coming of Judd.
He kicked two goals in our last game after rotating forward and people have blown their loads over it.
As I've previously pointed out, Stack is one off-field mishap away from being delisted.
We need to be realistic with what to expect from him. I'd much rather trade for Hill instead of potentially being left short on options because Stack gets caught doing something stupid.
It's the elephant in the room but it needs to be addressed. Short memories in here.

If being rated better than Castagna and Aarts correlates to being the next Eddie Betts then you had a low opinion of Eddie Betts.

Jesus ******* Christ. I didn't say it guarantees anything. But it sure as sh*t increases our chances.

Lol at not wanting to give ourselves the best chance at making hay while the sun shines.

Na, maybe read the posts where I said it's a fire sale so let's squeeze them and do it for pick 28.
Could make a pretty sound case it didn’t do the hawks chances much good with Mitchell and o meara arriving moments after winning the three peat

Giants young gun Bobby Hill wants to be traded to Victorian-based AFL club
This young bloke's a ripper. Really becoming a dangerous player as he develops. Hopefully will mature into a midfielder at Tigerland if we can nab him.

Pick 28 for bobby Hill?
In a heartbeat.

What does Hill bring that is over and above what we already have in Stack as someone said?
Hill looks like a great groundball player, knows where the goals are, and seems to be more stable than Stacky. More of a Michael Walters style player. They'll probably occupy different parts of the ground so it's not like we can't have both.

3rd year in the system as a 21yo,

Hill 2021, in a lower finals team: 9 disposals, 1.8 goals + goal assists, 2.8 tackles, 1.4 clangers

Castagna 2017, in a Premiership team: 11 disposals, 1.4 goals + goal assists, 3 tackles, 1.9 clangers

You reckon Hill is behind Castagna at the same stage?

Bearing in mind Castagna is a triple premiership small forward and he was playing forward in the best team in the competition that season. How is Hill tracking worse?

Yeah they did but you know what ................................. KARMA IS A BITCH

Carlton get 3 Spoons
Tigers get 3 Premierships

I think if Bobby Hill wanted to come to Richmond we would take him and a trade would be worked out with the picks we have - BUT
He has to want to come to RFC and im sure we have / would have made an inquiry into the possibility

But im pretty certain the Bombers / Norf / Haawks would be showing him $400k a year

Hill has avg 0.8 goals not 1.8 . He is behind George at same age , all bs aside stick the facts my friend 1E1040C6-94DB-4F2D-A961-5D3EDD53448F.jpeg
