Was bid on at 10, where he was rated by outsiders before the draft means nothing. I think you’ll find clubs will bid when they rank someone, the clubs that held the first 9 picks didn’t rate him/ had others before him on their draft boards. Being in a academy doesn’t mean anything imo look at how many others have been bid on early.

Yes I know Green is contracted to 2023. So, this time next year he will have one year left on his contract. If he hasn't signed an extension by then, we will make our offer because he's coming out of contract in 2023. That will be the time to make the move, when GWS's salary squeeze is on and they will have Taranto and Hopper to keep happy as well.

The 2 obvious ones are Garthwaite and Egg. Then we would have delist / re-rooky either Cumbo, Biggy or Miller.
Parker would have been my choice but according to reports the club has agreed to re-sign him.

We would open to trade Caddy but there doesn't seem any interest.

It depends on how many picks we intend to take. At the moment it's only looking like four, but I expect (hope) there are one or two more delistings after trade period.
It our picks stay the same, I'd say we use 7 and 15 and perhaps look to package up 26 and 28 for a better pick.
I'd anticipate usuing one of 38 and 40 and sending the other for a future.
I also wouldn't rule out live trading 15 if the player/s we want are already gone, probably for a future 1st, although I wouldn't completely rule out trading 15 and 26 on the night if there is a player we want before pick 15.

If the player we were after is gone by 7, could swap 7 to Brisbane for 14 and 18. The obvious trade is 38 and 40 to the Pies for 27
This would leave us with 14,15,18, 26,27,28

I have a sneaky suspicion that 18 could be used to trade to StKilda for their future 1st. Especially if we were going to bid on Owens.

Only on rare occasions we have delist a contracted player. Yarran in 2017 was the one in recent times
Aarts won't be delisted. would have to be a player out of contract.

They were my thoughts too with delistings. Aarts isn't going to get any better imo.... Parker too if I'm honest. Only disclaimer would be that he hasn't had a full pre-season with us but if he plays more than 10 games next year, I'll suspect we aren't having a great season. Happy for him to prove me wrong of course. I did talk Lambert down in 2016 and he ended up being ok

What do you mean? I'm almost finished my 7 day circuit-breaking lockdown and will out and about on the 10th or so of August. Hopefully get to watch the Tigers play a few games and make the 2021 finals. There are some other good teams but I'd expect the Dees to well Melbourne themselves and not make it. The Dogs lost to us earlier without Dusty, so we'll beat them, Port are flaky and Cats will be too old. I can't see us not winning this 3 peat. We just need to beat North, GWS and the Hawks and we make it....

Went back to South Freo and turned it around as it hit him hard being delisted was what was written on him.

Thought we had 4 main list spots open but 1 to many rookies?

But we had Stack, Miller, Aarts, Egg, Mansell, Parker & Pickett on the rookie list this year meaning we have to delist 1 to have the max of 6?
