Now we have the picks sorted it is the upgrade with Collingwood or Essendon and Curnow.
If it's Essendon, I hope it's 26+28 for 11 ( that's slightly in their favour for value) even if we through 81 in there to keep Dodo happy.

That would leave us with 7,11,15, what we choose to do from there is anyone's guess.

Essendon would then get two picks in the draft, which they have publicly said they want ,OR they give 28 to GWS for Bobby Hill and take 26 to the draft.

Look I’m pretty connected with the club so I’ll give you some inside juice…. We’re going on a spending spree for players in the next 30 hours as Dusty agreed to go to rookie list as long as all 100,000 members buy a DM by Dusty T-shirt
Where can I buy a shirt?

The year is 2035 and I'm spending the first couple of weeks of retirement reading posts on here with people still trying to work out how we can finally get Tom Green to Richmond for the last year or 2 of his career.
The year is 2024 and I'm reading _RT_ 's 46th trade hypothetical of how to get Lipinski from Collingwood :drunk:;)

Spoke to my contact.

1. We are so tight with the salary cap, its very unlikely we could get someone like Mitchell without Hawks paying and our players renegotiating contracts.
2. We are working actively to package up picks to move up (1st or 2nd round). That's their main focus right now.
3. Not Richmond related - but Jason Horne-Francis is 99% going to Norf. Apparently the young fella has been researching North history and players etc. He want to go 1 and has accepted it will be at Norf. Norf can't be happier with his attitude.

That's all for now!

Giving up two firsts for Tom Green is insane.

Free agents are so much better value and more conducive to winning a premiership. TOm Green would not come because he will want to win premierships
We dont agree on much - but there is always that rare gem like this;)

Even though North only spoke to him a week ago........

I would suggest that Norf are telling little white lies like they all do at this time of year. The year Tigger was draft, clubs where speaking to him and his school on how he was going at least 9 months before the draft.

Interestingly North thought they where going to get Tigger in that draft and kept on ringing his high school to see how he was going with his Year 12.

As GWS said, no point talking to Dudero. He's like that used car salesman who looks to shaft everyone who walks in. No point 'negotiating' with him. Make an offer sure, but walk away and say 'call if interested'. Ignore all counter offers.

Agree, avoid the laborious drawn out negotiation/arguments for sure( aka do not be sucked into a trap)

I think it was from an interview with Horne - and it was suggested he had heard directly from almost every Club, and North was not one of them until a week ago - might become an urban myth - but they are not quick off the mark at Arden St (on good authority about that last bit)

Norf have no intention to bid on Diacos or Darcy. For them it's simple they have the first pick and they think Horne is easily the best player in the draft. That came from some one very in the know at Norf.
