Agree. We’ve come out of this period on top no doubt. Sometimes success is boring as ****.

But that was a week and half of absolute crap. There’s no way there’s a doco on that small fry BS.

Trade period should just run until the day before the season, let clubs trade picks and players live at the draft and continue after.
Clubs trade anyone anywhere under contract but players are free agents as soon as the contract is up none of this compo bullshit

There you go i fixed trade week
The simple ideas are often the best.

Dimma had lunch with Nathan Freeman today.

As i have said several times throughout the year - AFL is at an all time low. Be it onfield, offield - its all the worst i can remember.

they are lucky that the only other competition for sports in Australia is NRL. If AFL werein the US where they have the NFL, NBA,MLB, NHL & MLS - they wouldn't survive.

Okay… Whilst I didn’t want to sell the farm, I felt we needed a ball winner to stay thereabouts in 2022. We’re already near enough but we haven’t improved our team at all, we really could’ve used a decent quality midfielder to top us off again.

We now have to draft a readymade midfielder and, the trouble is, we didn’t trade up the draft and unless we do on draft night, at pick 7 (9) we probably don’t get a real readymade gun the likes of a Ward or Hobbs, and may even end up with a key position instead (which we do need but don’t need in the 22 YET) which would be bad in my opinion.

If we don’t get a real gun midfielder this draft that can play round 1, we rely on RCD or Ross to really take it to the next level, and I dunno if I see that happening.

Hope I’m wrong but I am worried our midfield just won’t cut it next season.
