There is ZERO evidence that we have even a remote interest in Bowes - not sure why you're dying on this hill. If pick 7 wasn't on the table, would you even be talking about bringing him in on top of TT and Hopper as we have other pressing KPP needs?

The club isn't going to scrap their whole list build strategy to bring in a player they didn't want just to gain an additional pick.

Which we're most likely just going to trade on anyway.

I know it doesn’t work that way. I’d like to delist stack and if he’s not picked up, then offer him a preseason with the stipulation that he must be in great nick on his return.

Only then and if his attitude was good would I entertain his selection in the SSP. if someone else grabs him first then so be it.

A clubs whole list strategy is never about interest in two players who happened to be interested in the club as well.

It is about accumulating talent in a way that maximising premiership winning ability over the journey with minimal fallout. The later is debatable as well because it is within the context of the former.

If the better deal helps win more premierships over the journey so be it. Furthermore, the better deal may enable different ways to win more premierships over the journey so be it. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!!
